So, I got this "Brilliant" Idea, to join the fighters guild, but the door is always locked, any help?

When are you coming? I'm not sure when exactly they open, but I think it's around 10-11, so try going there around that time, maybe a bit later to be sure, so around 12 or something you should be able to get in.

Why do people nowadays ask first before trying to solve the problem themselves? I mean isn't it obvious that houses are closed at night?

The sun comes up at 6-7AM in Daggerfall if I recall, and most buildings don't open until 9-11, so to many players it may appear to be the middle of the day and it'd seem odd as to why they cannot enter a building.

If you switch to LOOK mode (the icon with the eye) in your status bar, and look at a building when it's locked, it'll say its open hours.

Just loiter next to the building until it opens.

And the 'i' key or clicking on the compass gives you the time.
