how do i kill rawr in long lonesome road, he keeps killing me in two massive hits!

depends, what's your weapon loadout?

i have quite a few weapons, i've tried red glare, flash bangs (no help), anti material rifle, and sholder mounted machine gun. all got me killed.

also i've got a sniper rifle but i didn't try it on him.

uh...did you just walk in with the weapons in LR? They're all crap against heavily armored, high HP creatures. It's a Deathclaw, so AP rounds will be very useful. if that doesn't work, use the Flare Gun.

i never thought of the flare gun, but im pretty sure i dumpted it eary in the dlc to lighten my load.

but if i do still have it (and if i think of trying it later today) i'll give it a try.

LOL Flare gun scares Deathclaws and causes them to flee for a period of time.

well i guess i'm in a pickle , i went back to the mojave and went to my motel room in novac to store some of my excess weight, and i brought with me my brotherhood of steel power armor and i went to old lady gibson and had her repair it (it cost me a lot though).

Try using a riot shotgun. 12 Gauge hand loaded rounds or coin shot should be sufficient.

Don't worry about armour, just grab some AP ammo for that anti-materiel rifle. If you've got the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC get som explosive ammo too. Sneak into his cave, maybe with a stealth boy, and try to get the drop on him. Take some Steady for a better aim, some Jet/Rocket/Ultrajet (preferably all three) to try and boost your AP enough for another shot in VATS. If he gets close, taking some Turbo and running to the other end of the cave should buy you some time. Drugs are your friend!

A combination of flares and a fully modded TBRL works for me. Energy Weapons (and Luck) needs to be pretty high though. Aim for his legs.

Try detonating the warhead near him to cause some damage from safety.
