i saved, entered vault, destroyed generator, took EVERYTHING i could get my mitts on, told elijah to meet me in vault, dropped 2 c4s near the stairs , pressed body againsnt the force field while he was talking we switched places somehow, i blew him up when he walked near my c4. done. i didnt have long haul perk so i had to encumbered walk alllll the way to the lucky 38. is that how i was supposed to do it? its kinda weird but it worked multiple times, but only if i destroyed the generator. i also made sure to have the long haul perk the next time i played through

And why didn't you just go to Novac or put it in a chest or crate in the Abandon BoS Safehouse instead of walking all of the way to the Strip?

It's the most entertaining way. I usually do this as well. I love the moment where Elijah and I swap positions at the force fields, and he walks onto my mines. I place a lot of them, not just two C4 packs. Mines, gas bombs, C4, whatever I can get my hands on. So much stuff explodes at the same time the moment Elijah passes through the force field my console lags for about a second. Then BOOM and he's just gone. Can't even see where his body went.

Personally I use the Big MT Transportalponder to drop it in my Sink room.

I think they added a skill to Elijah, explosives don't affect him.

I just walked out with my slow time perk from old world blues. Also you could have put the gold in a mohave express dropbox and had it shipped to the strip

it does still work i do it on every playthrough, also sarge rl-3, DM was my first dlc i didnt have access to the sink yet
