First time in 4 years, not too sure how to get levels quickly, maybe just farming one handed on some bandits...you guys got any ideas?

I'm not sure why you'd want to level up an unarmed character. There's no "unarmed" skill in Skyrim, so your damage output will never improve, but if you level up you'll be facing tougher enemies.
I have an unarmed character that I've played about a third of the way through the Main Quest. The only way it works is to avoid leveling as much as possible. My character, a Khajiit, uses "claws" when possible, and she uses staffs and shouts, which don't contribute to leveling. She heals up with food (vegetable soup, mostly) to avoid making potions, and she doesn't wear any armor.

I've never played or leveled an unarmed character because of the fact that, as glargg said, there's no unarmed skill/perk tree in Skyrim. As for an unarmed character build, I don't got anything - For race just go with a Khajiit or Argonian for obvious reasons.
Aren't there some mods which add the unarmed perk tree? I'm thinking back a long time, but seems like there were some on the nexus.
Okay. My point still stands. As you level up, you face stronger enemies.
The article is wrong about at least one thing. Fists of Steel only gives you unarmed damage equal to the BASE rating of your gloves; it doesn't matter how much you improve the armor or your Heavy Armor skill. The highest base rating for gauntlets would be Daedric at 18, so you'd have a maximum (unenchanted) unarmed damage of about 22 (or 30 for a Khajiit.)
The only way to level an unarmed build is by using something other than unarmed to level yourself. Making the whole thing really pointless. Farming one handed to level an unarmed build, you might as well just play a one handed warrior because you are anyway. Even if you're using enchanting, alchemy, or smithing exploits, your unarmed damage isn't going to improve, while your enemy's damage will. You can push a level one unarmed character, and it would be far less suicidal.
honestly, the only reason i really tried it was because it was intresting.
just wanted to find a build that suited a psychopath who wants to murder any and everything with any means possible. (someone once recommended magic/physical damagew)
There is room for unarmed combat in Skyrim but it's limited.
If you get a certain set of gloves, for example, you can disenchant them to acquire the unarmed enchantment.
I can't see how you'll get far using unarmed combat though...I use it to beat those people with idiotic and racist views that get my goat on the rare occasions that you can challenge them to a brawl.
I don't know of a way to improve your character by brawling. I just use it for fun.
I still carry a set of gloves for such fights, though...just in case.
While, I understand the flare and attractiveness to build sites, I do not subscribe to the notions. The same as I have looked at the skillset options in previous installments of the game. I have always used the custom class options.
It sounds to me, like you have already described the kind of character you want to play. You don't need that sight for a cookie-cutter. Let your character develop as you see them developing and using skills and making choices that they would be making.
A beast race combined with a high magic resistance and some decent AR, with the enchantment buffs and the disarm shout as well as a high pickpocket can get the enemy naked and do well in unarmed combat.
I have an unarmed/bash khajit. Level 41.
Your first goals to get Heavy Armor to 100 via Farkas and Smithing to 100.
Get block to a decent amount.
Next, work on enchant.
It takes forever to kill a troll. Having a little bit of trouble with Briar Hearts as well but it's very possible.
Most of your damage output comes from the shield bash. I haven't gotten block to 100 yet though.
In that game I had like 9 unused perks. I can see conjuring or destruction as a decent sidearm (I mean, if we were going with archery, we might as well go archery all the way.)
When you beat a legendary dragon to death with your mitts, post that video. I'll bring the popcorn.
