I'm afraid, none of my characters will ever see him.
After 100 characters created, none have ever been beyond level 65.
I would love to fight him but i know i won't.
My highest level character was 62 i think and i remember i had to go out of my way to bring him that high. Maybe if bethesda had given us the chance to fight Umbra in his place, i could have spent the time to meet him.
I've only leveled one character high enough to meet him, and that took forever. I can't even remember how many in game years had passed, or real life years for that matter! I just recently started a new character with the intentions of doing a full play through, I'll have to keep track of how long it takes in game to level up that far. Typically though, my characters top out at about 30 or 40 before I kill them off and make a new one. With the exception of my main PC, who I've all but retired.
I have faced him several times...only because I used a "glitched" game to level to 81. He IS a tough fight even for op'd characters but as others here have said,my characters nowadays will never reach that level in their fighting prime, they seem ready to retire and live the good life between level 60-70.
I've never seen him and I doubt I ever will. Most of my characters' stories end well before that level.
I can't say I have any eagerness to meet him either. Gaenor was more than enough for me.
Although my character plays very long games, her leveling process is tweaked so I can set a 'cap' on each and every skill. Result is her overall character level caps around 30. So, yeah. She's a happy little milk drinker. That's okay, she'll never complete the MQ or Dragonborn DLC either.
It varies. All of my characters have walked a different path. It usually takes a couple months but I have more free time than most. The characters who meet him grant his wish, others will never see him.
Im not any expert on skyrim but isnt he found wondering around on roads?
I could almost swear I met him and killed him in some road before level 20, I could be wrong.
Pretty sure I'll never have an alter-ego who will meet him, none of them get very high level really. I think the highest level I ever had was the one I more or less completed the game with just after release; she might have hit 45, don't remember now, and no longer have any saves back that far. For that matter, I doubt I'll ever "complete" the game again - though I did finish Dragonborn with one not too long ago.
Thing is, I'm SO not into "finishing" a game like this one any more. It's much more satisfying to wander the game world, doing whatever shows up to be done....
You are probably speaking about the Orc who wants to die honorably? He has 3 dead sabretooths around him.
The ebony warrior is a Redguard who will contact you if you are level 81 and challenge you for a fight. He can't be killed by height and in general heis pretty difficult if you fight him with normal non tampered weapons.
I'll probably never meet him either. I can't get much above level 50 without artificially grinding skills that don't fit my character.
I concur, my characters may never meet him.
"But alas darkest darkness
Do not stamp your feet
Don't stare at the sky hopeless
Go get something to eat"
I've never gotten leveled high enough to worry about him.
My characters play out "stories," and rarely do more than one quest line, so there's just not enough experience to drive their levels that high. And I simply refuse to grind a character just to do something like that. I've had just one character exceed level 50.
In addition, most of my characters nowadays are dead-is-dead, which makes it even less likely that I'll see that level.
I know that a lot of players enjoy taking on that kind of boss. I don't really find it fun. If my character is strong enough to defeat such an opponent, I find the long, drawn-out battle to be tedious, and if my character isn't strong enough, then it tends to end in failure. Either way, it usually turns out to be an exercise in frustration.
I think it's level 80 or 81? i'm too lazy tired to look on the Wiki right now. I have come across him but only because I downloaded a level 81 savegame.
I didn't find him hard to kill so long as you stay on your feet but if you're ever knocked on the ground with that shout of his then laid into with that health sapping sword you're pretty much mincemeat.
You can't even pickpocket his stuff off him beforehand.
hello every one
for every one that's on PC ............there is a mod called Timing is Everything ..............what this mod lets you do is edit at what level each quest begins
the ebony warrior is set at level 80 by default ....so you can use the mod to start at level 50 if you want, witch has a very negative affect....you need to be level 80 and above to have any chance to kill him .....at level 50 for example you will not have the health/stamina & Armor/weapons ratings to have any chance he will still be 30 levels stronger than you
who would like a level 80 game-save for PC?
This guy hits like a bus against my lvl100+ character.
