How long does your load take? : Fallout 3

When you load games, do you use the menu or do you use quick loads? Because I have noticed that sometimes quickloads can be extremely slow, where going to the menu and loading a game is reasonably fast.

Edit: On a side note ... how big are the save games? That is, how many MB do they use?

Ok, problem solved. Or at least pinpointed.

Amy wong mod is the problem. I just decided to test her mod turned off. Bam! 6 second load time. Turned her back on. 7-10 minutes etc all over again. Turn her off. 6 second load. *sigh*, So apparently for some wonky reason Grish makes a great companion mod folks. But be aware the longer you have her, the longer your load times may end up being as well.

Couldn't sleep knowing there was a problem lol

Is this one of them poles that are actually a cry for help?

Less than 5 minutes.

More like 10 seconds tops with 220 or so mods bashed with gary bash.

Now Oblivion is a different story - with upwards of 500+ mods it can take about 1-2 minutes, or at least that is what it seems like could just be 40 seconds.

Wasn't a cry for help. More of a "I'm curious, because I couldn't tell IF there was a problem"

10 minutes was way to damn long and I had to ask if this was normal, naturally =)

Seems if anyone cares to know for future reference. Average load times seem pretty much under 1 minute. So if your is higher. Fiddle with your mods and see whats what.

Feel free to use this thread for load time problems as well. Piece of mind is a good thing. ^_^

Oh and I never use quick loads. I start the game. Use the regular "Load", every time.
