Morrowind here but didn't become obsessive about the TES series till Oblivion.

Skyrim is just going to take it to a whole new level. :celebration:

I remember when I was getting a new xbox game in 2004, I think and I had to choose between Fable (which I knew) amd Morrowind. I chose Morrowind, and I've never regretted it ^_^. Luckily I'm a PC gamer now.

I would say Daggerfall, but I was barely old enough to remember it. Also, I wasn't very into it. Too young to take it seriously.

Played Oblivion for like a month with all its DLC and never really liked it much... then I stopped playing.

In 1 word... overrated, sorry to say.

Skyrim however greatly improves everything that I thought was wrong with Oblivion and then some so I have high hopes (and ever higher anxiety).

P.S. First game ever played that I remember? Resident Evil 1, scared the crap outta me.

Get mods for the PC, it makes it an amazing game - Deadly Reflex 6, Unnececary (spelling) Violence 2 (you need another mod to join those two together though), Qarl's Texture Pack 3, FCOM and a bunch of other little gameplay changing mods is what I'm running, and it's SO much better.

I played (loved, to be more specific) Fallout 3, my friends convinced me to try out Oblivion, after that point I've been hooked ever since. Skyrim will be my second TES game. :tops:

Since Oblivion, but I got it the first day it came out, just like I'm gonna do with Skyrim. I went back to Morrowind but didn't like it at all.

Nobody's been playing since Arena?

Not very many people have been playing since Arena ^_^. The series has changed a bit. I added a Fallout or TES first question as well.

Although I do agree that mods make it a better game they just did not cut it with me unfortunately.

1. Deadly Reflex was an awesome mod that I thought was impossible to add (genius). But it also added way too much blood to the fantasy genre (besides that no problem).
2. Uneccesary Violence mod was good but again made things too complicated (why not add dual wielding as a seperate pack?) which in the end meant the game was more complicated than fun.
3. Never bothered with the texture pack because I checked it out and did not improve the look of the game enough for my tastes (unlike Skyrim where its graphics seem top-notch I wont even bother looking for any texture packs).
4. Never use overhaul mods.
