How long have you had a vault dweller exploring?

I've had one out for about 1d 6h and change toughest monster I found was a

Deathclaw, with a 2 damage on a kill and 8 damage taken on a flee, got around 2375 or so exp from a kill.



Highest level I've gotten my dwellers too is level 44, but I was wondering if anyone knows the level cap (or if there is one?) as well as how far you can get and the strongest thing out there.

The level cap is 50 and I don't think you can explore more than two days because of rad away and stimpacks

Only 13 hours so far with Jericho. It was my first lunchbox and i sent him out with 2 stimspacks and he came back with 16 items and made the difference for the fresh vault 289. He's now out again with 10 stims and 5 rads, looking forward to his return.

3 Days is my record. You start fighting Super Mutant Overlords and stuff like that.


I need a nice legendary weapon to survive much longer. (I've had no luck with that :(.)

3 days 18 hours was what I send my Jericho out for, took him back when he had one stimpack left. He was level 50 with the Advanced Power Armor and Gatling laser equipped.



I'm going to max out his endurance and see how that effects it, he already has 10 Strength and Luck and like 7 agility and low charisma. I think his endurance is at least 5 or 6 so we shall see how maxing it will change his survive-ability.

I've sent Colonel Autumn out to explore with only 12 stimpaks/12 radaways, and he was able to explore for about 55 hours.



I can only imagine how long he could tough it out if I sent him with all 35 of my stimpaks/radaways! :)

My Jericho has been out for 3 days and 6 hours. Only picked up a few good items. It seems like their is no real benefit to staying out longer, other than the exp and caps. I still find rusty pistols and low level items. No real pickup in the high level items as you go out farther.


One of my level 40 lab workers with low luck and 5 stimpack went out for an hour and found a railway rifle.


It seems lik sending dwellers out on mass might be the best way to go.

Yeah, you get a lot of crap even when they've been out a long time, but after around two and a half days, the rate of Good stuff do seem to pick up.


Of course, by then they're soon going back anyway :P.



Luckily, I have two Jericho's out chasing stuff for me! (Yeah. I got him in two separate Lunchboxes. Doesn't look like there's any checks to make sure unique items are really unique...)

Got Jericho and sent him out for 3.5ish days. I brought him back and have been working on his luck and will try again. He didn't find crap except a rusty gauss rifle.

You can go more than 2 days. I've had an explorer go 2 days 16 hours before recalling her. She could have gone longer but I didn't want to risk it since she was seeing a lot of Enclave Deathclaws and Super Mutant Masters.

My Dweller did not used any radaway. It's very interesting. Hope he will go till the 4days and plius :)

I've gotten a few Legendary Dwellers exploring for over 3d, maxed out at less than an hour over 4d, probably coulda gone longer but didn't want to let a lvl 50 go with no stims over night.



Higher lvl seems to contribute more to having more health than any particular SPECIAL stat.



Started seeing Super Mutants 2-3d out, and they keep getting bigger as far as I can tell. Don't have a clue where the ceiling is.
