I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen an actual post on it. Sorry if I'm late to the party. I wasn't so much as interested by the perk details I already knew, but by the MAGAZINES!

So instead of giving a temporary bonus (NV), they seem to have their own perks related to them. For instance: their are 10 issues of Grognak the Barbarian (each with their own cover art, which is awesome) and each one you find raises the 'Barbarian Perk' by one, and the perk itself increases the critical damage of your melee weapons.

I have to say, this is a step up from previous magazine uses.

Hope you guys found this informative! What do you think each of the different magazines we are used to will do now? What perk, if any, will they effect? I for one, and excited to see how much this will actually effect gameplay!

Yeah it's not really new info but thanks for posting anyway. Perhaps some of the folks who just started coming here will like to see it.

Giving bonus perks is definitely a better system than the temporary increases from NV. I'm assuming this means that magazines now function like bobbleheads, as in there will be a limited number of them rather than being loot that can be found?

I would think so, yes.

It also seems you'll be able to display the magazines you've found on a magazine rack you can build and place in your settlement.

I hope they make at least two pages for each magazine so we can see a little bit into the actual content, like books from TES.

Must admit I'm loving the concept of magazines giving Giving bonus perks to your character. It will be very exciting to find one, just like finding those elusive bobble heads. One thing I never found out though, are these magazines readable. Guess I'll find out in 8 days! Gawd that sounded good, might say it again.... in 8 days people!
