In the gamplay footage we did see magic staff that shoots magic balls of light, but how does it work? We have magic that is castes from hand and staffs?
it sound strange, can we get a staff that have unique spell that can't be gained as "hand magic"?

Or is there staff of fireball and hand used fireball spell isn't it the same?

And do staff use mana or soul gems?

if you'll notice the staff has a damage number with it. its one o.O but its a number. also mabye target light spell do damage to undead? not enough staff info has been released to know for sure

Staves should work the same way to Oblivion, though this is speculation.
