How do I make a container Safe Storage?

Post » Thu Nov 27, 2014 4:28 am

So yeah. I'm making my first house in the Creation Kit, just a nice little house I'm gonna put in Riverwood for practice's sake. I want it to be functional though, so I want none of the containers to respawn. Problem is, while I got the chest to not respawn, there are other containers where the option to disable respawning are greyed out. It's like this for a lockbox and barrels. There's something where I can edit the base, but I'm worried that will make it so *all* barrels and satchels don't respawn, which would be hell 'cause I imagine that would cause conflicts with so many mods. How exactly do I guarantee a container is safe-storage? Thanks.

Yeah, if you alter the base, all other containers in the game will be altered. You can only use those that have NORESPAWN in ID, and if you want any other container that doesn's have any non respawning versions, you'll have to create a new one with your own, unique ID.

OK, thanks for that. I guess I'll just leave the barrels and take out the satchel and lockbox. I haven't started messing with making my own IDs and stuff, so I'm gonna leave that for now. Thanks for the pointer though.
