I've got an objective to "Make 7 friends in the Wasteland".

Is this just something that happens while exploring? Do people sometimes come across others and rather than fighting, they make friends with them?

Or is it a new feature I'm missing? I've never had it happen before, so if it's not new i may as well cancel it as I won't make SEVEN of them anytime soon.

Sometimes your dwellers can befriend a ghoul in the Wasteland. I think that is what needs to happen.

Ironically just after posting this, i now have 1 out of 7 in that objective.

In THIS case it looks like the times when you help someone. Found a fugitive slave with a bad leg, patched him up and wished him the best and it counted as a friend.

While writing this, happened again! Discovered a Hunter who needed help tracking a Yao Guai.

May be easier than i thought to unlock the cat card
