How to make a fudge-ton amount of money.

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 5:38 am

1) you can only do this with a new profile, so if you have left good springs already, you're [censored].
WARNING) you must have either a barter of 25 or a speech of 25!!
2) what you do is talk to the storeowner after training, and ask where ringo is.
3) then follow Joe Cobb, (dude in armor looking like he wants to punch the storeowner in the face) and talk to him, tell him you want to help the powder gangers take over Goodsprings.
4) He will tell you to kill Ringo. Do it.
5) afterwards, buy or steal a Silenced .22 pistol
6) when you come back, talk to Joe and he will tell you to talk to Chet about armor and [censored] like that.
7) now, crouch behind Joe to where you appear hidden. Pop him the head with your .22.
8) go over to chet and ask for supplies for the powder gangers. you will get two different skill checks: barter and speech. choose one, it don't matter.
9) you will get leather armor, powder ganger rep, and 30 9mm rounds every time you ask him for supplies.
10) you can level up pretty fast earliar in the game with this, and you can always ask him for more throughout the game.
Hope this help you achieve untold riches... and a fudge-ton of leather armor

No where to put it all...

Why would anyone even use that?

The levelling up in this game is too fast as it is.

Leather armor is cheap and will not be worth the bother. So is 9mm ammunition.

Powder Ganger reputation is the least useful faction rep in the game.

You can get much more profit by stealth-killing every Powder Ganger on your way to the NCRCF and every unnamed Powder Ganger in its premises (most can be one-shotted with a sneak crit from a Silenced .22 to the head, all can be one-shotted with a sneak crit from a silenced Varmint rifle), then doing I Fought the Law, betraying Eddie to the NCR and sneak-killing the NCR soldiers after they capture the prison (sneak-crit to the head with a silenced Varmint Rifle with AP ammo).

yeah, but see with my way, you can also get....
pause for effect....
29 PERKS!!
If you level up all the way to 30 with the way I told you (I stoppped at 20, because it was getting late and I was getting bored) then walk out of goodsprings you will keep all the perks you selected when you were "Leveling Up With Chet" (unless they affect your skills, cause those will be erased) and then be able to select 15 more perks after selecting "rebuild character" (You could change like a hair color by, like, one mark) then select ok. once you are done allocating your skill points, you will level up 30 times (or however many times you "Leveled Up With Chet") and be able to select more perks.
I have 25 perks, because I stopped at 20 then proceeded to level up to thirty from about 7 quests and I am okay with that.
(On a side note, if your barter skill is high enough, you can sell a 9mm round for one cap. you get thirty rounds for every time you select the speech or barter check. pretty soon that starts adding up. If you want a example of how this helps, all of my compainions, except rex and ed-e, carry anti-materiel rifles and enough .50 MGs to kill the entire legion a dozen times over.

This is boring, whats fun about power lvling and making caps this way? nothing, you want much caps then cheat your way instead of glitching.

Then why not be patient enough to level up normally?

Yup, but this way you can get ALL the perks. Or at least most of them. Forgot how many there were.

I tried to do this for the perks once but I got bored at level 15, as for money you could use the primm glitch, I've got 45,000,000 caps and a couple million ncr and legion money. Also If you have the dlc's and a f*ckton of patience you could go to level 50

what's the Primm Glitch?

sorry it's actually called the vikki and vance glitch, heres how you do it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kkmOwYGeSIyou have to unpatch your game to do it so from you ps3 menu go to game, then game data utility then fallout new vegas, delete that, reinstall it. when you start the game you will be asked to update, hit circle to say no. Now go to vikki and vance casino and do the glitch, when your done install the patch. be warned that if you already completed a dlc it will make all your dlc item dissappear but you can redo the dlc again to get them back If you have two or more characters and one has dlc items they won't dissappear as long as you DON'T play that character until you repatch the game.

I play on PC. All I have to do to get money is open the console and start spawning huge quantities of bottle caps in my inventory. Not that I have done this since I still don't see the point.

Lol there's a much much easier way to get infinite caps, the Casino glitch where once you get over I think it was 23,000 chips drop them, the value turns negative, then you can cash in as many times as you want.

Yeah so? its boring to just spawn all the caps, RPG game here people. Only noobs spawn [censored] with console, pros only use console to fix problems (like the endless quest items that seem to get stuck in your inventory in fallout new vegas)
