Post » Tue May 03, 2011 9:04 am

drinking games, bar brawls, arm wrestling, yo momma joke contests, Skyrim Idol, bard karaoke, bar dice, bosmers need fake IDs and whatever else could make taverns more interactive.

Yes, except your ideas have been posted before many times, and Todd already addressed this in stating that Taverns will be a place to get tons of info (perhaps quests as well.)

Now that doesn't mean tavern games are IN, but I think it's safe to say that there's a large possibilty that they'll be in game.

And Skyrim idol, Fake IDs... Karaoke? No thanks to those.... Sounds too modern to me.

I for one would like to see drunks actually behaving drunkenly. More slurring, more singing, more stumbling and balance issues. And I would LOVE to see a Nord vomiting ale all over the other patrons :)

drinking games would be fun as long as they don't go overboard with minigames
bar brawls would be awesome
button-mashing arm wrestling could be fun
yo momma joke contests... I hope not
Skyrim Idol... I hope not
bard karaoke... I hope not
bar dice I don't care either way
bosmers need fake IDs is a neccesity

I was with you until arm wrestling.

Then it all just went downhill from there.

As we saw in the trailer, taverns are a nice place to assassinate people from the darkness

Fable set up the tavern environment for me, but its failed to innovate it in the most recent games. Getting a little more recent but still relevant is Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption. The game offered some bar activities but lacked in interaction towards bar patrons.

I think there should be gambling in the taverns like how there was in Fable 2(SORRY, don't hate me for the comparison)
I think there should be a man(or women) sitting at a table and when you talk to them, you can play a dice game or a board game, something simple, and you can bet gold.
If you win, you get gold.
If you lose, well, svcks to be you.

The witcher 2 seams to be doing taverns absolute justice, arm wrestling, dice, fighting, drinking, access to some quests. Something like that would be great.

Musicians and storytellers. And in the more seedy joints, strippers and skooma dealers.

Ooh, I'd like to see the bartenders actually interacting with the patrons as well. Maybe instead of standing around like an idiot, it would be cool to have animations of them cleaning the cups, glasses, silverware, etc. Or actually pouring drinks and handing them to people.

Chances are we will probably see them doing things like cleaning cups as they do in depth chores this time around (as we have seen with the lady sweeping the floor in the tavern).

A truly realistic bar is a bit too much to ask in my opinion. Signs of people getting drunk, bars filling up towards the evening and people actually buying drinks is enough for me.

I agree, it would be nice to have the taverns a bit more interactive. There was an awesome mod for Morrowind which added one hell of a tavern called "The Wailing Wench" which really stood out for me: It had lively music, people dancing (on tables) and even a dart board with all sorets of daggers etc stuck in it. It had a really good feel to it. Oh and the waitresses... whhoooo!

I've actually started a Skyrim Blog:

Check it out :)

This. I don't want any of those minigames, however I do hope to see NPCs to actually be drunk, fighting each other and bothering everyone MAYBE puking if they drank a lot...

Well at last something like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUa-71Mp7ko
Dancing, eating, drinking, serving, drunk walks, bard plays music and sing songs.

Some minigames like gambling also welcome, dice and cards at last

There is also can be bar fights while no one die, just become unconscious for some hours or one day, and fighter equipped with clutter as weapons or with bare hands, such fight will not death on sight crime as it was in Oblivion

Beverage mus have drunken effect on player sight
