How to make the grid more sensitive?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 1:32 pm

I'm new to all this G.E.C.K stuff and i'm on the tutorials now. I have to make a coridor and i have done that, added stairs now i am ment to add a door. but troughout all of this when i'm dragging the doups across i have to move my mouse miles away for it to acualy move. I don't know if i have hit a setting that is stopping this. But most time it wont even move. I'm just moving a simple door towards the frame. it moves the very odd time but most times the sensitivity is too hard.

i'm sorry if this is basic stuff, but i don't even know that! :D

Check out the http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/gamesas_Tutorial_Layout. From that link scroll down to the section on 'Grid and angle Snapping'. You may want to change your grid snap setting. You can do this by clicking on the icon in the toolbar that looks like a hand holding a piece of paper as well as the way suggested in the tutorial (I think its the 'Q' button).
