You only have to have 1 double and 2 single beds for you, spouse, and children. Your housecarl, steward, and bard won't sleep, and won't leave even if they don't have beds. I personally don't like this for role playing, my family home always has the bedroom wing added. I have another house with the greenhouse added.

True, it's not that I wouldn't like to have a bedroom wing but..(rp) Taarie needs her space in a full house. I really want to get her the greenhouse to keep her busy in
