How many chances do I get to become a vampire lord?

Post » Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:10 pm

[NO SPOILERS, PLEASE] I'm sided with the Dawnguard. I just entered the Soul Cairn, and chose not to become a vampire lord because I want to finish the Dawnguard questline, and get all of their cool crossbow things. However, I would love to become a vampire lord after completing the Dawnguard questline. Without expressing any spoilers, will I get more chances to become a vampire lord within, or after the story? Also, how many chances will I get? Would I also be able to cure myself, and again become a vampire lord?

You passed up the second chance since you chose not to become a vampire lord. You might want to reload a save if you are really set on becoming a vampire lord. and I don't think that it will cause problems with the dawnguard questline if you choose that option.

That said, you can still become a regular vampire.

So, are you saying if I continue, I won't get another chance to become a VL? I really want to finish the Dawnguard questline, I've gotten myself glued to the current storyline, so I'd really rather continue with these guys, but obviously as I said, I'd also like to become a VL. Do I not get another chance after the storyline?

Seek out vampires, fight them and get infected, survive and wait 3 days. Don't cure yourself.

EDIT! Snap - vampire lord :/ Only the pure bloods can do that, yes you have missed your chance.. ish? Didn't she offer you vampirism even after the quest was done?

Well, I haven't finished the Soul Cairn, yet. So, if she offers me the chance again after the quest, and I refuse, will that be the last chance I'll get?

You can ask Serana to change you anytime you please after the Dawnguard DLC is done. There are unlimited chances.

As long as you have Serana, she will turn you as many times as you want. You can keep on doing the Rising At Dawn quest and then go back to get VL *again* and repeat for [censored] and giggles if you want.

Werewolf is the one where you get only two chances(well 1 if you count doing it the pure way).

Thanks for clearing that up for me, guys. Was this tested by yourselves, by the way?

Serana will give you as many chances to become a Vampire Lord once you kill Harkon at the end and as long as you don't convince her to get cured of her vampirism. If she gets cured, than you will lose the option for good. Aside from that, You will have infinite chances to be turned into a Vampire Lord by Serana. You can cure yourself and become a vampire lord as many times as you want.

Thanks for the help. It's pretty obvious that I will kill Harkon, but I did ask for no spoilers.
