If it's anything like the past games I won't stop making them.

^This. Especially when using lots of mods, sometimes I need to make a new character to try something. So many for Skyrim that I lost count.

A lot. I really enjoy the beginning of the game, where you're just some guy in blue jumpsuit with a peashooter.

I heard that if by some divine miracle you create a Todd Howard replicant in-game you unlock perm god mode.

I never stop making new characters in any of Bethesda's games. I'm still making new characters in Morrowind and Oblivion and will continue to do so in the years to come. I won't stop making new characters in Fallout 4 until the day I die or become a Ghoul and my fingers fall off and I can't operate my mouse and keyboard anymore.

  1. Spec ops super soldier/secret agent.
  2. Probably a medic or something.

Just one. And I will carry his save game through the ages. Just like the rest of my characters.

He's going to be male, African, and focused on creating a perfect society out of the ashes of the post-nuclear world. How far he will go into extremist territory I don't quite know yet, The Wasteland is going to mold him heavily. There's a entire possibility that he may turn out to be a lot darker than some of my other characters, but I'll have to wait and see.

I am in the triple digits for Fallout 3/NV characters. I see no reason to just make one character. Besides, if this game is like the past ones, the gameplay changes for different characters. Ever made a 1 Intelligence character in Fallout 3 or NV? Its a hoot. Note, I think you can trigger the new dialogs and such with a 3 in Intelligence. But I will have strong characters, weak characters and characters in between. I will make characters that have no business being out in the Wasteland but do so anyway. I will make a character that will kill as few as possible, and ones that will kill everything possible.

Yea, so how many characters will I make? How many grains of sand are on a beach?

Depends really... I had about 10 for Fallout 3, and about 8 for New Vegas.... If fallout 4 is as great as it looks like, then I could be playing this game across dozens of characters... especially once dlc has been released.

I'll do the obligatory power armour scornful good guy, the neutral thief with rules and standards, and the idgaf bad guy cannibal assassin a-hole that chooses only the worst possible dialogue choices to get his karma as low as it can go. After that who knows, that's when things get interesting. Maybe a mad bomber scavenger that only uses crafted weapons or just explosives.

But yeah I won't stop and limit myself, I'll try and think of something different each time.

Probably just one. If you could make multiple characters that shared the same game world (if A completes a quest, B can't do that anymore), then I'd make many more.

my first character is going to be male light armored fast and stealthy character who uses a sniper rifle for long range, a pistol for close and medium and a knife for back stabbing.

hes going to approach any quest neutrally but will be quick to change his mind to whatever side earns him the most caps, like a mercenary.

my second will be a female with a hot pink mohawk and bulky metal armor, she will also specialize in all energy weapons, she really loves her tech and has been known to hoard everything with a circuit board.

she will approach quests logically and lawfully good but will change her mind if shes able to get any new tech out of it.

third character a huge brute of a man that only uses melee weapons, hes a psychopath with an insatiable hunger for drugs.

he will approach any quest sadistically and take the route that will lead to destruction. oh and drugs lots and lots of drugs.

So far I have already planned out eight different characters that I will create.

1.) The Male Engineer who is intelligent and kind-hearted, yet shy.

2.) The Female Ninja who has a lonely nature and a cold personality.

3.) The Male Survivalist who is very resourceful and carries only the essentials.

4.) The Male Sniper who is sarcastic and loves to build "long distance relationships".

5.) The Female Charmer who is a pacifist and can get results through words rather than violence.

6.) The Male Melee Juggernaut who is not very smart, but makes up for it with his brute strength.

7.) The Male Pyromaniac who is psychotic and likes to watch everything burn and explode.

8.) The Female Combat Medic who is skilled in medicine and shooting and aims to assist anyone that is injured.

If the customization options are plentiful, then I can see myself making much more than eight. Depending on the variety of playstyles, I may never stop making them. :D

That's the spirit, moral compass adjustment through social and non experiences that will affect the frontal lobe and the brain shall alter course depending on the scenario which may either heighten fight-or-flight or the moral control center of the brain shall take over for the greater good...Ahhhh psychology...

Most likely only two.
I'll make a male named Omar and his wife.
Omar will be my main and then I'll recreate the exact couple and play with the wife on my second playthrough
