So that got me to think, How many Battalions were stationed in New Vegas at the highest tension of the fighting? Then I wonder... How many Cohorts did Caesar and Lanius command?
For someone who may not know, a Cohort consists of...
Each centurion leads a centuria of 80 men (which includes 8 to 16 officers). A group of 8 centurions leads a cohort of 480 men (the largest military unit in the Legion).
Then a Battalion for Arguments sake consists of 300-1,200 Soldiers, but were going to say... 450-500 to balance out the Cohort...
Does anyone know an ACTUAL Number of Cohorts, Battalions, Reserve Troops, Retreating Units the Battle actually had? Or the Number of Cohorts Caesar himself commands westward and eastward?
