Considering in Bethesda's own words this is the 'first wave' I'm going to say 6 in total, a second wave will come Sep-Nov.

I;m saying 5, because I want the last two to be bigger than the first two.
I'm not going to count Automatron and Wasteland Workshop and say 4 more Far Harbor sized or smaller than Far Harbor expansion pack.
I'm not joking at all I want Bethesda Game Studios to develop a lot of expansion packs for Fallout 4 to sell. I can wait until 2019 for them to release The Elder Scrolls VI for sale.
There's $20 worth of DLC remaining.
Total DLC has value of $60 according to Season Pass. Automatron $10, Wasteland Workshop $5, Far Harbor $25 so total DLC to date values at $40.
Question is do you want it to be a big one or a few smaller ones?
If that is indeed true I'd prefer another big one but as Bethesda talk of 'waves' of DLC I think 3 more, possibly similar in size to A, WW and FH.
If they are of the same quality as Automatron, I don't want them to ever stop!
But in reality I think we will get one more big one like Far Harbour and a smaller one like Automatron. Bringing it to around $75 worth of content.
I'm torn. I'd like more DLC's like Automatron that add in a bunch of new features, but at the same time, I'd like more of the FO3/NV styles dlcs.
I voted '9' just because I'm greedy and stuff. But realistically I expect two more, one of them a larger story DLC (though probably not as big as Far Harbor) and the other something along the lines of Automatron and Wasteland Workshop. I still wouldn't be surprised to see something that fleshes out the under water areas ... maybe adds underwater combat and dangerous things in the water. That bubbly spear gun they found in the game files was originally intended for something.
I would hope for 5 minimum, because that's how many we got with Fallout 3, although I'd be happy with more.
The more the merrier, they might pull a Gearbox and continue to make dlc not covered by the season pass. A guy can dream. It hasn't even been 6 months yet and we're talking 3 dlc + hardcoe mode.
Dragonborn was released in Feb 2013, plus there was big problems due to the ps3 hardware that interfered with the dlc cycle. They're not going to be jumping ship on FO4 anytime soon,
Todd's already said they have big plans for the next couple of years.
I hope they "pull a Gearbox" and create much more content than is covered by the season pass. I would hate to see a game like this precluded from receiving further content just because it's all covered under the Season Pass and therefore the company wouldn't make any money from it. If they release enough DLC to make the Season Pass worth the purchase price and then keep on rolling with bonus DLC, I will gladly buy it in addition to the season pass I currently own. More content is always good.
I just want a DLC that introduces a Slaver's Guild and slavery......
Well, I'd vote for either 5 or 6 dlc total. The number of dlc we get will influence how large they are. They placed a price tag of $50 worth of content. (Although they have also stated it will be worth more then $60 worth of content with the pass)
Now lets look at what they already told us we are getting,
Automatron - $10
Workshop - $5
far harbor - $25
-------------------
Total = 40
So, looking at the numbers, what would we rather have? What exactly are we looking for value wise? Workshop mod sounds neat, but I can't say I'd want much more in that vein.
This is a great game and Bethesda is generally known for making solid DLC. There are also several years in all probability before the news Elder Scrolls release (ESO is not Elder Scrolls for my buck).
If I'm running this company I create a Fallout/Elder Scrolls DLC team. Focus on making great DLC for the games focusing on what the players want and things that add story/immersion to the game world. They should be able to pump out respectable DLC every 2 months or so. And keep players happy. Also much of the content that works with Fallout 4 should easily change over to the next Elder Scrolls game. At least when were talking upgrading weapons, settlements.
LOL i will love 9 DLC.
But realistic i think we will get another 3 DLC after the initial 3.
And in similar level.
1 big. and 2 small/medium DLC
Looks like im the only one that picked 7...my lucky number I swear. I hope for 7, a few little DLC's that bring new weapons etc. But 3 big DLC story's.
But if I think realistic, I think it will be one more big story driven DLC after Far Harbour, and maybe two other smaller DLC's on top of what has been announced so far.
May depend on how long they want to support FO4? As in a good few years.
I'm gonna say 5. Considering that they've already announced $40 worth of the DLC with the first 3. I'm gonna guestimate they'll give us another Automatron sized one that may add another mechanic to the game and a short story to go with it, and another bigger sized one. I'm assuming Far Harbor will be the biggest, by far, but I'll guess they would do another one that's a decent sized and then call it quits to focus their assets on making a new game engine for the next Elder Scrolls or Fallout 5... cause they've more than maxed out this one...
As long as they're good and add more content. As many as I can buy.
I liked Automatron more than Anchorage and MZ, but it wasn't as good as New Vegas DLC or the Pitt. That being said I'm hoping for some DLC like OWB or Dead Money.
Hoping for just one more large DLC expansion.
I don't know, I thought they didn't really have it all planned out either. I believe they just thought of the 60$ as a benchmark. But the base game is 60$, so when they are all out these DLC's together have to rival the base game.
