Killed a dragon and still can't unlock a shout, does it take more then 1 dragon soul to get a shout?

no, i had the same problem at first, turns out you cant just click a shout to unlock it, theres a different button for unlocking, on PC for example its R. thats so you dont unlock a second or third level of a shout when you're just trying to use it.

No it only takes one. It's a bug in the game.

You need to find word walls to learn a word, then you use a soul to unlock it in your magic menu.

Sounds as if you have souls but no words, you need to find a word wall.

you only need one soul per "word". Each shout has 3 words.
to you have to unlock each word manually assuming you have already found the word. In your magic > shout > R for pc to unlock

HUm hum hum , use the unlock button on your dragon shout ..... btw u don't have to feel stupid I had like 7souls 5shout locked ( WTF !!! The game is toying with me or what !!?)

That is because you unlock them with X, not A.

Do you people not look at the bottom strip on the screen that tells you what buttons do what?

Some people just don't choose to read; look at some of the posts on these forums for example -.- i must have seen at least a dozen asking "is there an arena?" and dont get me started on the werewolf ones lol. Ugh. :facepalm:

SDTV possibly? My friend has an SDTV and I played Skyrim on it and you cant see ANYTHING at the bottom without squinting really hard, even then, you cant see most of the stuff on the screen, Skyrim is NOT SD friendly.
