How many FPS should I be getting?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 4:03 am

2 GTX 570 superclocked in SLI, core i7 2600-k @ 4.4Ghz. Win7 x64, Acer 27" 3d 120hz. I recently just bought another GTX 570 to have in SLI (preparing for DX11, BF3 etc..) In single player when outside i get between 60-70fps, when in a dark closed room i get 100-120fps. This doesn't seem that much more than when i just had one gtx 570. all settings set to extreme/1920x1080. NV control panel sli rendering mode = force alternate frame 2 (which seems to work the best for me). Now i'm not really complaining about 60-70 fps - game looks fine - I just feel like i've been reading other pple getting 100+ fps average. MSI afterburner shows both my gpu's hang out around 60% load. So..is this normal? Thanks in advance :)

when in 3D mode you are getting around 120fps

your left and right eye sees 60 fps each.

That's the thing. In 3d it stays right at 60. Which is as high a it can go. But I'm talking about 2d I average 60-70. I'm thinking it should be closer to 100-120 with two 570s

By comparison; with two GTX 295 im getting 100-140 fps; with two GTX 590 i'm getting 100-350 fps, with all settings at extreme, except Post-Processing. This is ingame; other times i get 3000 fps plus.

If you turn on Vsync, the game is limited to 60fps to make it look smoother

Thats Odd...... I have a q8400, and 2 460's and i get that framerate....... something is wrong, especially if your packin a 2600k...... can you post some numbers on GPU usage while your playing? Bring up precision while in game and tell us what GPU usage you receive, even 470's should be pumping out something better. I would asume 2 570's should produce 110fps on average.

As a matter of fact make sure C1E is disabled, you can tell us its at 4.4 but your PC will downclock when ever it feels like it, causing problems.

multigpu isn't working right as of now, crytek knows this. lots of people having problems with low frames and flickering still. I have 5870 crossfireX and only use one card and the game is running minimum 50fps usually 60+, until DX11 is patched then probably need two, something tells me crytek is just gonnna patch DX11 then really worry about multigpu setups.
