How Many Hours Per Week Do You Expect Play Fallout 4?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 2:01 pm

I'm curious to find out just how many hours per week you guys can put into this game.

The game is supposedly more than 400 hours long. If you play 20 hours a week it will take you about 5 months to put in 400 hours. If you treat it like a full time job it will take you 2 1/2 months to get to 400 hours.

Since I'm still first year at uni I expect I'll be able to rack up 20-30 hours a week fairly easily most of the time. Which would mean about 4 months for a complete playthrough I guess.

I have no idea really. i easily put around 400+ hours into these games.. It probably takes me about a month or so. Pretty sure I'll complete it before Christmas.

I'm going to aim for roughly 20 hours a week, the bulk of which, will likely be done on my days off. As for how long it will take to finish it, I have no earthly idea, but I can't see my first completed playthrough taking longer than a month or two. That won't be for awhile though as I will likely have to restart multiple times to perfect my build.

Ill be playing as much as I can fit in with the rest of life that goes on, and I'm going to take the story nice and slow.

Not a damn clue  As much as Real Life allows, as variable as that is.

(My first FO3 character had ~75 hours playtime when I retired it, but I'd never claim that they'd "finished" everything. I've had a variety of characters since then, ranging from 25 to 75+ hours.)

I can't vote because I don't know how large the game is. Therefore, I cannot possibly know how many months I think it will take me to finish the game. There needs to be an "I don't know" option for the second question because none of us can answer it.

Myself, I don't play Bethesda's games to "beat the game" or to finish the quests in a hurry. I don't keep track of how long I spend playing the games. That kind of thinking is foreign to me. I take my time with Bethesda's games. I like to savor each one of them.

I do know that I'll be playing many hours a day for at least the first several weeks.

I voted 20-30 per week as a conservative guess.

And, as I've yet to complete Skyrim even with over 1,000 hours and multiple characters on 3 systems. I said over a year to complete it.

Week 1 will leave me square-eyed for sure. I'm off work and I'm planning a true binge.

I'm gonna probably do 8-10 hours a day assuming my PS4 can handle it so definitely over 40 for sure. Should take me a month to do everything, I will take my time and enjoy Fallout 4.

No, won't put in an "I don't know" option. How long will it take you to play the game for 400 hours? That's the rough estimate going around.

Yeah, I need to start an exercise program immediately. I really wanted to believe I would put in 25 hours, but I seriously need to do some jogging or something.

Probably only around 10-20 a week. Except I'm going to be playing it all day on November 10th because that's my birthday.

It really depends on the content in the game, but if New Vegas and 3 are anything to go by, probably a week to finish the main-quest while finishing a lot of the side quests.

My votes were just educated guesses, but ya, given that I play my main game at the moment (Dota 2) twoish hours on weekdays and a couple hours on the weekend, I'm guessing between 10-20 hours a week. Even though they're advertising 400+ hours of gameplay, I can't imagine I'll do every last thing, especially if there are factions involved (I will probably do 2 playthroughs to see most options, but I'm not going to go overboard just to see every last bit of gameplay). I'm guessing it will hold my attention till Christmas or so, at which point I'll probably pick up one of the games I missed (Just Cause 3, Battlefront, and Hitman will all be out by then). Shame I can't get excited for Halo anymore...

I just guessed, but I think 30-40 a week is about right with work and a wife to balance. My off days are not the same as my wife's so I will have all day a few times a week to play, and maybe 4 hours or so a night if I'm lucky the rest of the time. With a reported 400+ hours of game play I think more than 3 moths may be needed to do most of the quests and complete the main story. After that it will be on to becoming MOAT!!! Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

Since I will be in the middle of school and working when Fallout 4 releases, I won't have too much time to play it until the semester ends (I will still get in more than a few hours per week, though). But once final exams end on Dec. 12th, all bets are off.

Why's there no "zero" option on the first and "I'm not going to finish it because I'm not going to play it" option on the second?

Probably 2-3 months, I'll probably play it beyond that, but we'll see, it depends on wether the stoy is good or not.

As far as playing hours probably 10-20, I got school and stuff that might get in the way. But getting 2-3 hours every day isn't unrealistic.

Dang, seeing some of your guy's numbers almost makes me regret that I have a life. I'll get 20 hours maybe, unless I take a day off work to play (been known to happen).

Maybe because the title is "How much are you going to play", not "Are you going to play". Probably assumed those that won't be playing would not be wasting their time in the Fallout 4 section of the forum.
