How many hours a week do you spend gaming?

Post » Wed Apr 01, 2015 11:33 pm

I find that the weather and time of year influence my gaming hours. Here in the UK the winter months are pretty awful, cold, wet and dark at 4.30. During those months my gaming goes up to about 30 hours a week as well but in the spring and summer probably drops to about 10 when I much prefer outdoor activities. I think if I lived somewhere hot all year round my gaming hours would dramatically fall, but there really isn't much else to do here in the winter during the evenings except stay warm and game.

80+ hours who needs a life  . J/k I usually spend somewhere to 1-5 hours depending on the game I'm playing at the time.

It depends on what games are out in that particular month. For example, this month, I've spent more than I normally do since Cities Skylines and Pillars of Eternity came out (both fantastic). This month I probably spent around 85-90 hours in games. But on the average month I'd say around 25-30 hours.

10-20 for me, sometimes less due to life crap that can't be avoided.

Strip that Blinky badge and hang up your joystick...you've disgraced the uniform :P

LMAO who put 80+ ??

Me though? I play about 1-2 hours a day, so I'm in the 10-20 zone.

Does modding count towards that number? If not then I'd have to say 1-2 hours a week, if it does then that's a different story.

Yes I think modding counts towards that number, it's game related after all isn't it.

Well let's see,

Type-0 had me at about 30 hours at the end of my vacation. Type-0 came out on a Tuesday so Monday didn't count. Then there's the actual playing of the game and just leaving the game sitting there for maybe an hour or so while I do other stuff.

So maybe all in all about 20 hours of actual gameplay.

7 hours a week. I spend more time reading forums than playing.

I play 0-5 hours a day, sometimes longer. It's between 10-35 hours a week. So far this week I've gamed maybe 5 hours total.

Up until less than a year ago I would have placed myself firmly in the 20-40 hours per week bracket, with occasional forays beyond that. Nowadays health issues have greatly reduced my desire and ability to game, so that I normally fall into the less than 10 hour camp, which is how i responded.

I notice we have 6 votes in the 80+ category, that's about 12 hours a day. That's some pretty serious gaming there!

10-20. As a working single mom with a happy partner too they should give me the games.
