How many people are going witht the theme?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:45 pm

I'm not sure whether or not I will be playing as a Nord 'fighter type' the first time, but I probably will do at some point. I can't say for sure I'm not influenced by the advertising (or whatever you call it), but I do it because I think Nords are awesome, and usually I think of nords as fighters (combat), not mages/thieves. I'm not going to choose another race just to be different, but then again, I haven't, quite decided which race I'll be playing as yet.

My starter will be a Nord for the theme's sake, but not so much a barbarian as a stealthy, cunning Nord.

Wait! What? Where did you find a stealthy and cunning Nord? I want one! :toughninja:

hehe just kidding! In all the TES games I've never played Nord. Cannot stand the voice they use.

I think I'll start with a non-Nord. Since I'll be seeing Skyrim for the first time and probably spending most of the beginning gawking at the scenery and the cities and asking people about everything, it seems fitting to make a first character who's in the same position who hasn't been to Skyrim before and everything they know about Nords comes from their 200-year out of date pocket guide to the empire.

Female Nord brute to begin with.

I always go with the CLICHED playthrough first, with the exception of gender :P

Sadly my character isn't going to be a barbarian brute, I'd say more of a Light Armor Warrior Battlemage Hybrid who is an opportunist.

I'm debating between a scholastically inclined Imperial amateur explorer / treasure hunter or a rather hardened and antisocial Argonian furtrader. The idea of playing a stupid and clumsy Nord never had any appeal to me in either MW or OB, and I think I'd have preferred ANY other province than Skyrim, but we're apparently stuck with it.

I am going to definitely play as more of a "brute" character, but I haven't decided on race yet. My first character in the last two TES installments has been a Dumner, which is my favorite race, but I have also had many Nord characters as well. I still might play as a Nord for my first character, but I am leaning towards Dunmer again. :tes:

Nope, I always start with a male Bosmer thief (who uses no or very little armor and dagger/s, not bows like most people choose). My second will probably be a Dunmer mage, and my third will be an Argonian light infantry sort of build (light armor, short sword and shield maybe with some alchemy and/or magic). I might make a Nord barbarian eventually, though.

Well, I may be a nord, but it really depends on what the races all look like...

A wiry, unruly and ineffectual rambling drunk of a Breton playboy with no clear purpose in his life aside from his weird obsession of all things related to the feats of Lorkhan... No, I'm definitely not going with the theme at all.

I am planning too make a Nord, but I played all the races in OB(only played MW on about 3-4 characters) and I plan too make him a warrior-mage similar too the Crusader class from MW/OB. I might make a brutal Nord Barbarian, but not as the first(or 4th) character.

My first is reserved for an Argonian assassin with light armor and daggers.
My second or third character will be a Nord warrior, dual weilder, but definitely a woman (a sixy barbarian brute lol).

None of the above. I like neing a bit "odd", so I'm going to continue with my Orcish Spellsword (specialising in Fire).

I've always gone for stealthy characters in games like these so I figured i try something entirely different this time around; and a Conan-ish barbarian brute seems fitting considering the setting of Skyrim. However I'm not sure yet what to choose :teehee: ... I guess ill find out on 11.11.11 !

I'm a Nord IRL, so I'm going to be one in Skyrim too.

"Nord who is not a tough barbarian brute": I'm going to do my usual magic/ heavy armor tank type character.

Afrotastic Redguard named Elvis.

Who swings his magnificent bastard of a sword with the utmost swagger back and forth towards the four corners of the winds.

I'm making a Nord lady who is both tough and a brute, but by no means barbaric. She'll be pretty civilized (as much as to be expected of the inhabitants of Skyrim) but still not afraid to swing an axe into a couple of skulls.
