How many people are going witht the theme?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:22 am

What I am reffering to is how so many people seem to want to be a tough barbarian Nord brute from what I have seen. So here is a poll on it.

Nope, Breton Assassin Female. I would go deeper into the character but I don't want to bore you. Nords.... psssst, all they have between their ears is air!

They also have iron skullcaps.

I don't get it myself. Why would you want to play the exact same character everyone else will be playing and has been shown on all the advertising. Wouldn't you want something personal and unique?

Dunmer, all the way. Probably stealth based with some destruction magic thrown in which is my usual for first characters in Elder Scrolls games. I already have my back story all thought out in my head, needless to say I am quite excited.

Hey! I'm a nord. Are you calling me stupid? ;)

I'm playing a nord brute in Oblivion (with FCOM) right now, and it's really fun. You can play a TES like an action game, and still have fun. I would recommend you all to try it once.

On topic.
Yes i will, but not on my first playthrough. Edit: (Haha, no. My bad).

I just got used to playing my Breton Assassin makes for intresting gameplay! Nords ain't my boat mainly because.... well... bravery and foolishness walk hand in hand. I will be having a nord warrior playthrough though don't get me wrong its always nice to play on homeground. I'm also looking forward to my Argonian mage who has no talent in magic!!! =D

I'll probably make many different characters, but my first character is likely to be an Argonian, or Khajiit, or maybe an orc (In fact, I expect all, or at least almost all, my characters will be from those three races, at least until someone makes a custom race mod I like.) As far as skills, I might go with stealth or magic, if I do choose a warrior type character, I'd probably go for more of a knight in shining armor sort than the barbarian type. Though actually, I'll probably choose skills I want to focus on from each different category, just that even then, I'd probably emphasize one specific category more than the others.

I'll probably play my usual Khajiit nightblade the first time around, but I'll definitely be making a Nord barbarian, just because it's Skyrim.

My adventurer is a hungover Breton daydreaming of a comfortable bed or a pub with a crackling fire (or preferably both), no neither tough nor Nordic in my case.

Hmm. Probably a breton jack of all trades chaarcter. Kinda depends. Whatever gives me the most options to do/use the most things for a first character.

This might just be the first TES game that I'll actually play as a melee character (seing as it actually looks kinda fun now). And if so then I would probably play a nord (seing as they atleast used to, IMO, have the best stats and makes sense in this game). Most likely however, I'll play a breton mage using restoration/destruction/illusion.

You say that your character isn't Nordic, and yet he/she's hungover and in search of another pub. Sounds mighty Nordic to me ;)

Maybe she has some Nordic ancestry. Still doesn't like the cold, and thinks that mêlée might sometimes look fun, but it feels painful... so it's best left to someone else!

For me it's the civil war. I think this time around I'd like my character to be more engaged with events than my usual observer from Summurset Isles. Not a barbarian though. I'm thinking more a bard/spy with an interest in horticulture. I can imagine playing a non-Altmer. Not playing a flower picker would be going too far.

If it were a multi-player game I might be concerned to differentiate my character from others, but in single-player it doesn't matter what anyone else plays. In any case, each of our characters will be unique because a different person will be playing them--and I'll likely change my mind several times between now and November.

Option e, No idea. :)

Not going to make a choice until I see how the races are defined in the new system (perks? stat bonuses? racial powers?), and (more importantly) how they look. :D

(Edit: you know, I don't think I've even done a Nord in OB. My first char was a dark elf, if I recall correctly. And I've probably done an Imperial or two. But after that, it was all mod races, picked for appearances' sake..... Lineage II Dark Elf, Chocolate Elf, High Imperial, couple of the Corean races, some of Xenius' head06 races, etc.)

My starter will be a Nord for the theme's sake, but not so much a barbarian as a stealthy, cunning Nord.

......... I must have you  :tes:

Mine might be a Dunmer...first thing He'll do is axe the first Argonian he comes across, retribution!

other wise if the CS comes out in tandum and not a few months later like FO3's Ill get started on making a newrace, immediately, before I even start playing the game.
