11.11.11 How many people going to midnight release

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:01 pm

Can you put in a Pre-ordering (Collector's Edition) option please because that's what I'll be doing. Any news on when they're going to announce the CE?

I'm getting it probably a few weeks after release when I have the time.

Good news! Skyrim will be released on Veterans day! For the people who still go to school that means no school! 3 day weekend! LOL im totally going to midnight release now! Yes!!!!! Thanks Bethesda for the date!

Wait what? Is this an American thing? I've never had Veterans' Day off. I go to college and we have two minutes' silence at noon.

I haven't got my timetable for next year yet, but if Friday's an easy day, if my local Gamestation does the same preorder bonuses as online stores and if they actually do a midnight release then sure I'll go. That's a lot of ifs though.

I'm skipping school the day it comes out

I'm one-upping that. Nobody will be able to find me for the entirety of my first playthrough.

Playthroughs for TES games can last a really long time - talking about months or years

I would but I'm probably ordering the CE through priority mail, so I will get a good solid nights sleep, and then wake up and play.

The forums are pretty much going to be dead till E3 so I though I would just make a little poll to see how many people our going to the midnight release. Thanks

i didnt vote, because my answer is "yes, im going and going to play the tutorial then go to sleep"

Not unless Windycon does a release party and I'm going to Windycon unless the world ends or something. My husband has promised I can go as a reward for spending a week in Lafayette Lousisana in October.

Maybe I can convince the concom to do a release party....

I'm planning to pre-order from Steam.

Hopefully I will be able to download and install in advance and begin playing when the game unlocks at precisely 12:01 am, while many people are still waiting in line at Gamestop.

Like. :tops:

I just might.. My birthday is on the 12th and that is ALWAYS an all-nighter (pubs till the wee hours then breakfast!) so as long as I can squeeze in a few hours of sleep between the 11th and 12th, I'll be happy.

I'm hoping that I'll be done with all my military training before the game comes out. If I have already started my job, and am not too busy, I will definitely get the midnight release

Meh, i'm to old for all that. I live my life day to day now rather than minute to minute so i can wait till an errand spins me that way before i pick it up. {looks at wrist} "11 months gone by already, meh what's another day?"

I am 42 and have 2 kids (by 2 ex-girl friends) and 2 ex-wives exactly because I will be at midnight release and play all night lol,... my life is sooo much better now that I cleared all of them out of my way so I can game all the time when I am not working or getting out with the bro's for coffee or drinks,... 42 the new 12 lol

I don't think they'll ever make a game that will make me go to a midnight release again. I've been to a few though. My kids will probably end up dragging me to some in the future.

I hope I can attend a midnight release. Going to start a master in September, so hopefully I will have the time for it.

I think I'll preorder a collector's edition, or if it's not preorder-able I'll wait until it's out. Unless it takes more than a week, then screw that.

Ill have it hand delivered to my house thank you very much, I really really really hope bethesda dont pull a black ops/red dead redemption on me and demand that retailers dispatch at the latest date possible - then I can get it on a day early like every other game :celebration:

Does anyone know when gamestop decides which stores have midnight releases? A friend wanted to go to a midnight release of GT5 but none of the Gamestops near him were doing it. I've never been to a videogame midnight release but I would very much like to go to this one..
