11.11.11 How many people going to midnight release

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:12 am

I plan to pre order so I can avoid the rush and inevitable Skyrim drought when all the stores are sold out in the first few hours.
Might just buy on Steam like some have said, but I'm not sure if I want it for PC yet. I'm running a fairly new 2010 laptop that runs Oblivion on high settings just fine, but I need more released info on system requirements before making a decision. I do feel that Oblivion feels better to play with a mouse and keyboard though, easier to aim attacks.

Dude I hate to say it but Skyrim isn't the most mainstream game, rest assured there won't be a Skyrim drought maybe a few stores in your area might be outta copies but aside from that you won't have much trouble acquiring a copy, the only reason I'm going to pre-order is for whatever bonus' each shop has

If a gamestop had a midnight release here, I wouldnt do, it. Its ~1 hour drive time so by the time i get the game I'd be going to bed! Bettter to just pre-order and pick it up when i wake up. Or get it on Steam.

I'm not going to a midnight release.

But I'll probably get a same day release delivered.

Oh right, practicality. I'm surprised there's no Brazilian version of Gamestop. My condolences.

I don't see the point at all when I can wait 15 hours and have it delivered by post, on release day. Rather sleep.

Ya, it might be kind of silly but I think it's a cool/fun experience if only for your favorite games. It's like why do people go to the midnight premier of movies? It'll be there the next day and you don't have to stay up all night, but tons of people do it anyway to be a part of the event.

November 11th is Remembrance day in Canada and I've yet to inquire at my local game stores if they will even be open on the day that Skyrim is released. Any other Canadians know? Either way I won't be going to a midnight release.
