Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 2:59 pm

The forums are pretty much going to be dead till E3 so I though I would just make a little poll to see how many people our going to the midnight release. Thanks

I'm planning to pre-order from Steam.

Hopefully I will be able to download and install in advance and begin playing when the game unlocks at precisely 12:01 am, while many people are still waiting in line at Gamestop.

You've seen how many new topics this forum gets daily, right? It'll never be "dead!" haha

But no, I probably won't have the time to head to Gamestop Thursday night. It might happen, but only if I plan on taking Friday off to play, and that's a big if.

What stores will be open past midnight to sell it? I want to do this. Our Gamestop doesnt sell PC games.

I am going to dress up as a barbaric nord and listen to finntoll, korpiklaani and turisas. Nah not really.. but wouldn't that be a sight? To answer the OP, yes.. of course I will midnight release it.

It's a Friday too. Three day weekend :celebrate:

Nov. 11 is my birthday so I have a non-geeky excuse to skip classes.

I'm a fan of Steam (well, I'm a fan of their cheap holiday bundles). But I've been waiting so long for a new TES, I just feel like I need a physical disc. The pretty box, the thick instruction manual, the sound of it first spinning up for installation, etc. You don't get any of that with digital downloads.

Meh, i'm to old for all that. I live my life day to day now rather than minute to minute so i can wait till an errand spins me that way before i pick it up. {looks at wrist} "11 months gone by already, meh what's another day?"

I'll be at my gamestop for this. If Sims 3 and fable 3 could get me to a midnight release, there is no way I'm missing one for Skyrim.

I plan to pre order so I can avoid the rush and inevitable Skyrim drought when all the stores are sold out in the first few hours.
Might just buy on Steam like some have said, but I'm not sure if I want it for PC yet. I'm running a fairly new 2010 laptop that runs Oblivion on high settings just fine, but I need more released info on system requirements before making a decision. I do feel that Oblivion feels better to play with a mouse and keyboard though, easier to aim attacks.

I'll be sitting at home waiting for it to download from steam, assuming it's available on it.

Probably another tactical reason that they chose that date perhaps?

Yes I will be going. I'll be a nervous wreck all day.

I wont do the 12 AM release but right when I get a chance, around the late morning, I will do anything and everything to get to Best Buy. (yes I chose best buy :spotted owl: )

Oh and I quoted because I will be a nervous wreck too.

Just a shot in the dark, but Best Buy will be open on Veteran's Day, right? :poke:
