How many people here are nords?

Post » Sat Aug 14, 2010 7:07 pm

im part swedish. i wear shorts year round and live in wisconsin. i even shovel and snow-blow with shorts and a t-shirt on. i had to put a coat on once last year cause it was super windy and the snow was wet..........i felt so embarrassed having to resort to clothing. :sadvaultboy: just hope my neighbors didnt see me. i love to drink.....alot. although i have never actually had mead. basically, im a nord. :)

edit: almost forgot about all the barfights ive been in. its been a few years though so im probably more like a bruma nord now.

Skyrim is announced and suddenly half the forum is Norwegian. Or maybe the population was always that skewed, though I can't imagine why that would happen.

I'm 100% Swedish. I'm a Nord :)
My viking helmet is in my closet. At night I put it on along with a fur cape and fight crime.

Spanish here, with ancestry coming from all the north of Spain (which has deep celtic roots). Although technically not 100% Nord, I consider myself one.

Plus, I'm grumpy, I have beard, I love cold, snow, wolves, mead, a good meal, and a good fight :)

Celtic and Germanic, no Norse blood that I'm aware of. Still, there is a pretty good chance some of my ancestors were vikings, as not all vikings were just Scandinavian.

100% Scottish. Is that considered Nord like? Or are we only considering Scandanavians?

I'm pretty much exclusively Anglo-Saxon as far as I can tell, but I am Canadian. So half-Nord?

Though I'm a mere Englishman (with a good drop of Scottish blood, but probably little or no Viking!), I tend not to feel the cold much and train and chop wood all through the winters here. I don't know if that qualifies me for Skyrim citizenship...

I'm also relatively short and dark-haired, though, so I probably belong in the Imperial or Dunmer camp, to be honest.

I live in the Swedish part of Finland so my ancestors came from Sweden. Although I wouldn't call myself a Nord, we do make mead every year.

I wonder if there are any asian races in the Elder Scrolls universe. They seem to be left out for some reason.

Mostly Polish and Native American here, but I do have coastal English in me, so I may indeed have a tiny smidgeon of Norse in me.

Don't get it wrong with that stereothype of "Spain, sun and paella". We also have continental climate there, and in interior villages in winter we can easily reach -15o :)

Plus, northern Spain in winter has nothing to envy to that. If you don't think so just try to do "Santiago's Northern way" on January...as I did. Got caught in a full-fledged blizzard more than once.

Perhaps because there's no such place as Asia on Nirn?

Haha, ok then "Asian-like" Races, you know what I mean. :P

Being Japanese I can't really connect with of the Elder Scrolls races. But I usually just play Imperial.
