How many quests do you think Skyrim will have?

Post » Wed Sep 21, 2011 12:13 pm

From what i can remember i think Morrowind + Xpaks had well over 400 quests and Oblivion +DLCs+ SI had well over 200 quests. Don't quote me on that, I could be wrong,

It will have a number of quests equal to the length of a piece of string.

I just hope more non-guild/MQ related ones than Oblivion.

Oblivion felt as if I was done with the quests insanely fast, every major city had perhaps 5 or so to give outside of guild ones, rather sad honestly.
As for Morrowind, I'm sure I haven't done 60% of the quests there.

No, radiant story is being use to randomize certain elements of hand-written quests.

I think Fallout 3 had around 30, so I'm guessing around 200 in Skyrim.

Probably not enough to satisfy me. I love quests big and small.

I'd hazard a guess at about 400 with the increase in staff members :D

If you explore everything the game has to offer before attempting a single quest, will the radiant AI spaz out and send you to the middle of a field or something?

Anything between 400 and 500 would do, but there must be 40-50 at Whodunit level of entertainment.

Yes, that's correct - IIRC Morrowind GOTY had over 400 quests and Oblivion GOTY around 250 or so.

In the bulletproof pixel radio interview, Pete mentioned that Skyrim has around "6 or 7 times the number of quests in FO3" (around 32 quests), so my guess is so somewhere around 200 - 220 quests without DLC.

A ton, thats 1000 kilograms, 1 kilo = 1000 grams. From this very undebatable logic, I can now work out that there will be 1000 x 1000 quests = 1.000.000 quests total.

Quantity < Quality

I'd prefer more long, detailed, and epic that the quests like "the king ordered..." or "assign-the-points-in-the-more-of-the-same-corridor".

Completely agree, less but better if that's what it takes.

Probably between 150-350, depending on how long and detailed they are.

"How many quests do you think Skyrim will have?"

About the same number as Oblivion, but they will feel bigger because of the mountainous terrain involved.
