How many of the 6 previous Fallout games have you played?

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 2:50 pm

I suspect the vast majority of players have only played Fallout 3 and New Vegas, though I might be wrong.

How many of the 6 previous Fallout games have you actually played?

Do you expect there will be a sizeable audience for Fallout 4 of people who have played none of the past games?

* The two Brotherhood of Steel games may not be considered by Bethesda to be canon, but they happened so I've included them.

All of them. Some with much higher enthusiasm than others.

I've not finished Tactics, but I've played it enough to "know" it, in a manner of speaking.

I own them all and have FO3 and FONV for Xbox and PC.

I played FO1 on three occasions but couldn't get past the 45 minute mark.

The only ones I have really played are FO3 and FONV.

I've played all of them except for the Fallout:BOS one and I heard that it was so bad I just skipped it all together.

I've played 1,2,3,NV in order. Didn't do Tactics as it rubbed me wrong being described as a "tactical" game rather than a RPG. I don't own a console so BoS was never an option.

I also own Tactics but I haven't played it yet.

Nope, I've played 4 of them. I discovered Fallout 2 while I was stationed in Italy in 1999. I'd play it almost everyday after work, and liked it so much I bought the first one. Years later, when Fallout 3 was released, I played that then New Vegas.

I confess I had never even heard of Fallout before one day in college circa 2009 my mate started talking about this game called Fallout 3, it sounded intriguing so I got it, loved it, and then loved FNV.

I have played Fallout and Fallout 3.

Fallout 4 should attract a lot of new players to Fallout.

2, Tactics, 3 and NV, NV is so far my favorite, so far I feel nothing but good has come from shifting the franchise to a fps/rpg hybrid and while 3 was a rough but still shinny gem, NV was Obsidian polishing that gem into something greater.

Fallout Tactics can be considered canon since it's lore friendly, Brotherhood of Steel on the other hand constantly breaks lore.

As for what games I played, all but Brotherhood of Steel because that game shouldn't even be mentioned imo

All of them except for the 2004 Brotherhood game.

I enjoyed every one of them but I really enjoyed Tactics closely followed by Fallout 2. I've beaten the original a handful of times but I really need to do another playthrough to refresh my memory.

I did try the original, but by the time I did my tastes had evolved to the point where turn based isometrics just didn't do it for me anymore. I'm sure that if I had gotten the game back in '97 I would have eaten it up.

But, like many players I came to the series through Bethesda and the Elder Scrolls. I'm not even sure if I had heard of Fallout prior to the news that Bethesda had acquired the franchise.
