How many vaults are in Fallout 4 and what are they called?

How interesting are these vaults? Are they as good as the ones in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Vault 87 in Fallout 3 was really creepy.

They don't have the sheer creepiness of Vault 87, Vault 106 (Hallucinogenic drugs), or Vault 108 (Gary), but they all prove that Vault-tecs only goal with the vaults is to mess with people. If freezing a bunch of people for hundreds of years to test Cryogenic chambers is the worst that is done, then it is a very lucky to be stuck in that vault. It is just too bad that Vault 114 was never operational since it would have had the most interesting overseer ever.

I found the vaults interesting but not with the same atmosphere as they had in FO3. I think in FO3 the other vaults had a different feel because they were windows to realities you did not have to suffer. You were "born" and raised in vault 101 in FO3, so discovering other vaults and learning about the vault-tec testing. It just blows your mind a bit more.

I do wish Vault 95 in FO4 had been inhabited with chem pounding raiders that were more savage and tough, then the gunners.

Because that is what Fallout 4 needs, more raiders to mindlessly shoot up :P

Both 3 and NV had vaults that just obliterate 4's vaults in terms of atmosphere. I can't think of a single vault in 4 that's better than any of the ones found in 3 or NV. The only one with a slightly interesting background is Vault 81.

They're all rather dull. Only ones I found remotely interesting being Vault 81 for actually being a settlement (though pales in comparison to Vault City) than some dungeon to crawl through along with having some interesting backstory behind it with the scientist and Overseer.

Doesn't come close to any of the vaults of Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and especially NV. Don't think any vault will come close to the backstory of Vault 11.
