Well I plan to buy the game on Friday, standard edition, as the CE doesn't appeal to me. Imperial scum. But that's what my character thinks.

have fun not playing then.
for me personally, i couldnt care less about the imperail race. im getting a standard Edition.
Not sure yet.
I'm sure as hell not going to buy the Imperial Edition as I think it's absolutely unacceptable the way they're handling this.
And because of how they handled it I'm not sure if this game will be worth my money yet. Gameplay wise it is, I've known that for weeks. But investing money when they've already pulled a stunt like this is something I'm very unsure of.
I'm not buying, but my mind was already made up before the Imperial Edition. The game will go on sale at a reduced rate in a few months. All games do, so don't think I'm dissing TESO. I might pick it up when it does - if it still looks like the sort of game I'd actually play.
What is the meaning of "Before I Knew" in the options? How could anyone purchase the Imperial Edition before knowing about the Imperial Edition?
All this fuss over the Imperial Edition baffles me. Its marketing a product with different purchasing options. An easily predictable sales technique of the single player and multiplayer gaming industry (and many others too).
I purchased the Digital Imperial Edition, I thought about it until last Friday evening and the horse & Imperial toon seemed worth the extra £20 but I did not want a statue or book so I selected Digital Imperial option from the 4 available. Didn't participate in the poll as there is not an option for the Imperial Edition without the "Before I knew" and I knew about it several days before I purchased it.
I don't understand all these people that are saying the game svcks and so does the price. Why the heck are you all hanging around the forums for hours everyday bringing others down? I don't understand them. I love ESO and will gladly pay money to see it succeed. These games are not cheap and Zenimax is a business after all.
That was my point...he was saying it should be a one time fee and not have a sub.
First - I lost my ES lust for ESO discovering about the truth of class / ability structure. Second - Lost my really devoted fan lust for ESO about the truth of gameplay. Now, I just laugh at ESO. When they announced "Imperials Playable" I felt sorry, that this WHOLE time they were adamant about Imperials are NPCs for storyline kind of thing. Now, they are "Hey, wanna make an extra buck?"
There is no option for buying Imperial edition after finding out that Imperial race was added. I bought it, because of that and would do it again if needed.
