So how many of you are Oghma'ing today?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 8:07 pm

So, with the update supposedly coming tomorrow and the Oghma glitch gone how many people are using it one last time today before the update? I know I am. I've always wanted to dabble in alchemy but it's a hard, ugly slog to level it. Today I'm using the glitch one last time to give it a try to see if it's worth getting into. I wish they weren't getting rid of the glitch myself, but eh, that's life.

Anybody else ?

I don't need to do it.

I normally always have a single character. He's ready for the future.

Hm, I suppose I should if only to get those trophies that require a high level (legendary dragon).

I don't really care for it from a gameplay perspective though.

I made a tutorial last week on how to do the glitch without doing many major quests so you could back up a save to keep after 1.9.

So those of you who'd like to be able to enjoy the glitch after the update might want to take a look beforehand.

I'd be more concerned about manipulating forced mechanics and the detrimental effect it will have on the game.

When you do this type of thing, you have no idea how it affects the game itself, down the line. You could be setting a snowball in motion.

I did. When you've done as many runs as I have, you just don't have the patience for grinding in order to level up certain skills anymore, namely smithing. There are some guys here with this scary talk about affecting the game but I haven't noticed anything.

Smithing is the easiest to level up. make dwarven bows and then improve them.

Yeah, the thing about dwarven bows is that dwemer metal isn't available in large amounts. No matter how great a boost it gives your leveling progress, you certainly will need a lot of it. I mean, how many bows can you craft after clearing and looting a Dwemer ruin? One, two?

If you mean 2 as in the number of Ingots it takes to craft a Bow, then yes. Besides, you can leave a ruin with more metal than you can carry.

Also, if you think that forcing glitches does not have the potential to harm a game, you are fooling yourself.

I put dwemer stuff in chests then ask my follower to take from the chest.
i then went to whiterun took all the dwemer stuff from lydia and smelted them. I ended up with 242 Dwarven ingots. 141 Bows. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Edit Iron is also easy to get. I always get over 50 every 2 ingame days just from whiterun.

Some words of wisdom a user here said a while ago.
" Boo hoo now we actually need to play the game instead of using exploits, how bad is that !? "

Me. I'll probably make a few races, do the glitch and not go online on my ps3 for a few days. Set for life on each race. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I've made a backup save too some days ago so i can use it after de patch.

I understand you guys about the glitches but i do like to sometimes just test something and i have played so many hours that i'm not going to create a new character that will take me hundreads of hours just to try something. People that plays on PC have no problems in tests because they can use console commands but the people on PS360 can't do anything so that's why i have done this glitch.

I'm probably going to do it today on my Dark Elf Demi-God-Hybrid Character. Im not going to do any quest except the ones I need to do the glitch and become a hybrid. Fun Fun Fun.

I see some peoples point on the glitch being usless though, this is a rpg it's supposed to take time to level. However one use for the glitch is if your playing and you've created a enjoyable character his/her level 40's and you run across one of those "Gamebreaking glitches", you know the ones I'm talking about, your not gonna want to create a new game and work your way all the way back up to there. So that's were the glitch comes in and saves the day.

Nah. I never use glitches, I don't see the point. Levelling up legitimately is more satisfying.

Set the difficulty to novice. It takes less than 10 seconds. It's the same thing and you don't have to waste time cheating /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
