How to mod the arc in which blocking is valid?

hi guys.

i wish to edit (separately) the arc of blocking with a weapon and without.

i want a shield to be able to block in a wider arc than currently.

is that possible somehow??

no, not without a huge amount of scripting to "fake it" anyway. There is a setting for this for ALL blocking but not individually for weapons and shields. "Blocking" is mostly all hard coded. There is no "collision" for the weapon and shield concerning blocking. It is all done in the hard code with distance and angles. A sword blow in this game is really more like shooting a gun at your actor with a very slow bullet.

ah, the famous spooky :smile: what an honor.

is it possible to edit the arc in which the actors block (even if it's the same)? can you point me in the right direction?

i wanted to recommend your mod in the description of this mod, but since u didnt put your heavy weapons combat mod in the nexus i was afraid it might not be to your liking. if you give me your permission to recommend your mod (with a link to http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1567-duke-patricks-archery-and-heavy-weapons-combat/) than i would.
