How much are you willing to pay for Skyrim?

Post » Sat Jul 09, 2011 11:03 pm

$30, my family waits for new games to drop down to reasonable prices or have a sale. I might pay $60 for the collector's edition.

I have no idea how much actual content it has, but if it's 300 hours, I'm willing to pay with an easy formula 20 cent / hour = 60 € But because it's a TES game, I'd be willing to put in an extra 40 €. totalling around 140-150 $?

Whoever voted $1000 is either very wealthy, or has dissapointed me. When you pay absurd prices for video games, the next video game will have the same absurd price. Im suprised at all the people who are not willing to pay over $60 though. I myself would pay for it with $120-150. Why? I am very picky about my games. There are only three games I am planning on getting this year, and this is one of them. I have enough money to spend $120-150 on all three of them. However, even if I could easily afford $1000 game, I would likely boycott it in hopes the money-svcking company fails.

EDIT: Actually I suppose most people who voted $1000 either don't know what american money is, or were just joking.

50, no more. At least not after recent news.. (unless it is a special edition, in which case that should have been stated first)

The biggest payment I will make to this game will be my time (and the nagging I hear from my wife... ha).

I feel the scale is skewed. I would pay full retail price for an elder scrolls game but much less for most others.

I am not talking about a special edition or whatever and yes, I would have stated so.

I would definately pay more than the average game for Skyrim and so I am curios as of how far the fellow forumers would go to get their hands on this game? (price wise)

Vote honestly, what is the most you would pay?

Agreed, it was bad enough that they managed to push up the PC price with SC2.. don't need that with Skyrim now.

I'd sell my beard and I haven't shaved in 3 days...not much to sell
I could probably pay 150 money, as in euros, as in 215 American dollars. :hubbahubba:

I said 80 bucks, but that's just because I want the Collectors Edition.

No more than $70, for most games I wouldn't but a TES game is worth it.

$63.60 with MI sales tax and not a cent more for the 360 vanilla version I will be getting. Anything higher then that, they better throw in a new computer and the PC version for me fix everything that they streamlined

50 USD is standard retail pricing for games and that's as high as I am willing to go.

I would actually be willing to pay upwards of $200, simply becuase Skyrim is an Elder Scrolls game. That inherently means that it will last me at elast 10x longer than any other game that I could buy at the time.
