How much does a dragon weigh?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 7:46 am

Add up the weight of the scales and bones you get from them and you'll find your answer.

Also the PC gamers can. Console commands can make your characters immune to those stupid physics.

Well of course it doesn't. I'm just stating that there are many ways to break physics in Nirn.

Couldn't dragons just have massive chest muscles and be able to fly? Isn't that one of the reasons birds can fly?

Dragons definitely aren't too large to fly considering flying animals that large actually existed, as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetzalcoatlus. The problem is that the dragon's wings aren't connected enough to their bodies. They could never realistically get their pelvises into the air. They must use levitation magic or something then.

shouts break the laws of nature sometimes, so i dont see why a dragon cant manipulate the gravity around it and somehow use it to fly.

That too, in a game where the laws of physics and the laws of nature are thrown out the door around every corner, in a world where the same is true . . . nuff said.

Not too much, since they fly with such small wings and can sit on a house without it collapsing /hehe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hehe:' />

Wow, that thing was huge /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yes it was, had the wingspan of a small plane

wingspan = from wing tip to wing tip.

That said, If horses can climb a 90 degree wall then a dragon can also screw the laws of physics and has more rights to do so as a lesser aedra.

Guess you've never heard of the cargo plane that weighs 650 tonnes? I'm sure a dragon doesn't weigh anything close to that /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

This sounds like the same guy who wrote this article. The source for the Hydrogen was the same. Possible the article was an excerpt of the book, or the article an early draft of the book.

A dragon also doesn't have six big jet engines /hehe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hehe:' />

(The plane he means is the largest in the world, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-225_Mriya).

ha I know, I was just making a note of heavy things that fly....yes that's the plane I was talking about /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Well if you look at a dragon then their wings seem proportional to their body as a birds so there's that to consider about how they can fly. Add the fact that when we loot their bones and scales, the combined weight is usually 200lbs max, add maybe another 100-200 pounds or so for it's meat and the villager digesting in its stomach and you have a creature that probably weighs 500lbs...not too heavy for dragon wings and the thu'um to carry into the air /thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
