How much is enough health?

I am now level 27 and I have basically been splitting my level ups between health and stamina - I think I have put two into magic so far. I am a Nord with heavy armour at about level 65 or so and have most of the available perks. I am one-hand dual wielding swords and axes and have also maxed the perks that I can in the one-handed tree. I am finding that I am faring pretty well against most all opponents at this point in melee combat. A group of some nefarious scum will sometime force me to use a potion or two but mostly I get by with the basic healing spell.

What point do people suggest I could start trying to add some magika and not stunt my ability to survive as the levels increase? I am hoping to switch to magic later on in order to have some fun with it, but want the security of being able to fight without it. I found one opinion that suggested that 300 health, 200 magika and 200 stamina would be balanced for a character at around level 40. Does that seem like the health is high enough to keep me from getting iced too much when using lower level spells in the beginning of my transformation to mage while my magic skills are low?
