How much money have you spent on the Elder Scrolls

An interesting thought I had today was how much money I've given my most beloved gaming franchise, ES! I have been playing since Daggerfall, and I thought I'd give my money spent and I'd like for you all to do the same! not an [censored] contest, just for fun! To start off, I'll admit I've bought more than one copy of most of the games, for PC and consoles. It's been a crazy ride haha!

Morrowind - I bought the original Morrowind for the PC AND the Xbox. Then, I bought it again years later for both in GOTY versions. And then the GOTY version again on Steam. Lol. Total spent on MW: 179$

Oblivion - Day 1 purchase, midnight release. Regular version. Then, when it came Shivering Isles came out, I bought that hard copy disc, I think it was 19.99. Years later, I made a PC GOTY purchase physical copy. Then, years later, I dl'd it on Steam GOTY. Lol. Total spent on OB: 109$

Skyrim - Bought the regular version midnight release for Xbox 360. Then, I purchased Dawnguard, Hearhfire, and Dragonborn for 360. A year later, I got a PC that could run it, and bought the original version on Steam, no DLC. I had gotten rid of my Xbox, so I bought a new one, and rebought Skyrim for it, and then DL'd Dawnguard again. 0.0 Total spent on Skyrim: 177$

ESO - Digital Imperial Edition pre ordered. - 80$

So..if my math is correct..I have spent a grand total of 545$. Considering the literally thousands of hours of fun this beloved game series has brought me..I will say that doesn't seem half bad to me, and I would do it again in another lifetime. :)

I don't remember the exact prices... but I have Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim with all retail expansions, plus ESO Imperial Ed retail preordered, plus the TES novels and the collector's strategy guide for Skyrim, plus Skyrim Premium and Oblivion collector's. I think 500E is a good estimation, I haven't purchased anything TES related from the bargain bin or Steam sales, everything is retail PC pre-order or day one buy or whenever the retail thing hit my country.

Hard to say, as I don't remember how much I paid for some stuff, but here are my guesses

Arena - 400kr ($62 USD)
Daggerfall Euro release - 450kr ($70 USD)
Daggerfall US release (including Arena CD) import including customs tax - 1200kr ($185 USD)
The Daggerfall Chronicles - $28 USD
Battlespire - 400kr ($62 USD)
Redguard - 400kr ($62 USD)
Morrowind CE - 700kr ($108 USD)
Tribunal - 200kr ($31 USD)
Bloodmoon - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
Stormhold - 50kr ($8 USD)
Dawnstar - 50kr ($8 USD)
Shadowkey - 200kr ($31 USD)
N-Gage (bought it only to play Shadowkey ) - 600kr ($93 USD)
Oblivion CE - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
Horse Armor, Orrery, Wizard's Tower - $5.77 USD
Knights of the Nine retail (including all previous Oblivion DLCs) - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
Shivering Isles - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
Skyrim CE - 1600kr ($247 USD), only got regular Skyrim from Bethesda.
Skyrim soundtrack - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
Skyrim DLCs - Free, Bethesda gave it to me.
ESO CE - Free, Bethesda gave it to me (I have to pay the monthly subscription though )

Oh, and I also bought Morrowind GOTY and Oblivion GOTY as presents. Another 300kr ($46 USD) or so.

So the total is about $1554 USD.

Not much

Bought MW GOTY edition including the exoansion when it was a few years old £5

Bought Oblivion, KotN and SI a while after release when the price had dropped a little, maybe £50

Bought Skyrim and its DLC a while after release when the price had dropped a little, maybe £60

I don't buy games on release, TES is unusual in that I buy it before it hits the bargain bins.

I don't recall how much I paid originally. But I do know how many copies I've bought.

Morrowind: the original game and expansions for myself, my daughter and my father-in-law, the GOTY edition, the digital edition from Steam. Oblivion: the original game, KotN and Shivering Isles discs and the digital edition from Steam. Skyrim: one copy, from Steam.

So that adds up to:

Morrowind - 5 copies

Oblivion - 2 copies

Skyrim - 1 copy

I'm guessing I've spent about US $400 on Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. If I add the copies my Significant Other purchased for herself I'm sure our sum total is over $500.

Best money I have ever spent.
