How much time did you put into OB and MW?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:23 am

Oblivion: about 900+ hours. Best RPG game ever made. Also best graphics at the time:)

Morrowind: about 20-30 hours, Belive me I try'd real hard, but it was basicly [censored].

And please dont reply, I dont want to here any other meaning about how great MW was. It's my personal opinion that MW svcked when you have played oblivion first.

I've only ever had one character in Oblivion and when I retired him, my save file was at around 67 hours.

I've had dozens of characters in Morrowind, and at least 5 or 6 that I've put at least an equal amount of time in as my Oblivion character, and 2 that I've likely put in over 150 hours each. However, as MW doesn't tell you how long you've been playing, I'll have to take an educated guess. So... 2 characters at ~150 hours each plus, say, four characters with ~70. That's 580. Maybe about 100 hours combined for all my other characters. That's 680. Add maybe another 100 hours spent with the CS and testing mods. So that gives me a grand total of 780 hours with MW. :o

That's okay, Nerevar, I wasted my middle and high school years doing mmorpgs like Guild Wars and World of Warcraft. :P

I wish I didn't, haha.

I spent maybe 40 hours max on my most invested character on Morrowind. Spent a (relatively) large amount of time with the MQ and various other questlines, as well as doing everything Tribunal and finishing most of the Bloodmoon quest line. Aside from that, my most recent has maybe 20-30 hours on him.

EDIT: Submitted accidentally.

On Oblivion I maybe have 60+ hours on my main, and 30 hours on my most recent.

Don't know the specifics, but played Morrowind tenfold what I played Oblivion.

A million reasons for that- most notably: how much more immersive and raw Morrowind is.

Lets put it like this:
Morrowind: Hardly tried, but I'm trying to get a copy of the game, and as soon as that happens I'm certain I'll play it for like 200-300 hours.
Oblivion: AT LEAST 300 hours. Probably a hell lot more than that. Maybe even past 400, but it's kinda hard to tell. And those friggin modders out there just makes me play it even more.
And I remain confident that when Beth releases TESV I will play it until the end of the world. And even after that I will continue. Bethesda has this strange ability to make eternal games.

Hmm... a year's worth of playtime translates to how many hours? Morrowind, eh, around 1-100, more than likely around 150, or perhaps more. I've flicked on and off of it over time, I can't remember.

About 100-200 for Oblivion, about 1,000 for Morrowind. Over the span of probably 5 years. And about 50 hours in the CS too. (Morrowind CS).

I don't really know how many hours I've spent on either for certain. I've probably put around 300 hours or so in Oblivion and easily over 400 in Morrowind. Those would be pretty conservative estimates, though.

Morrowind: roughly 200 hours

Oblivion: well over 1500 hours

I'm shocked there's so few +1000 hour Oblivion players who've replied in this thread. Maybe they're busy playing.

I think I've clocked maybe 12 hours in OB, around 400 hours in MW...and....over 2500 hours in the MW CS. Yes, that's right. Over 2500. I pulled out a calculator and calculated the average hours per day spent modding, multiplied that by average days per month (leaving out some days, but I usually just pretty much straight-out binge on modding for a solid stretch of months every fall), and multiplied by how many solid binge-months per year. And I came up with...over 2500 hours, and that was me estimating on the cautious side.

Over the course of 5 years of modding, that's not so bad though.

I'm not even a hard-core modder like some. Some of us mod all year. I take 6-8 month breaks.
