how much would you pay for the perfect DLC

How much would you pay for the perfect DLC . I think video game companies are missing a growing segment of society . Gamers who have a little more money than a high school kid and don't wanna go pc but wanna stay platform yet still want an amazing game . Fallout is good but most will agree it could be better . Like everything in life you can do a lot with the right money . I for example am 30 ish and would love to get a DLC the way I want it hold the kiddie stuff I would pay 300 -500 for the perfect game . Now it occurs to me if there's enough guys and gals like me then someones missing an untapped market .

10 bucks is pushing it. Think about it Dead Money was about 2-4 hours of quest gameplay. I have bought full games on Steam for 10 bucks. 100 bucks for a DLC, and they would never hear from me again, and I'm sure anyone who has any brains and is not Bill Gates would never pay 100 bucks for 2-4 hours of gameplay no matter how "perfect" it was. And offering 1000 bucks seriously for 2-4 hours of gameplay? Seriously? Seriously?

None of the above? Why would I pay over $20 for a DLC?

Ok so if 4 hrs is worth 10 then 40 hrs is worth and 400 is worth ? add to that this is not a cookie cutter DLC there would be many DLCs to choose from dozens perhaps before you say 400 is not possible perhaps in stages ? It would be similar to buying a Tv series that you play week after week

Yea, but nobody in their right mind would spend more on a DLC than the original game. I would rather them work on a single big expansion pack (like Shivering Isles for Oblivion) as oppose to tiny DLC and charge maybe 30-35 for it. I'm not a fan of DLC to be honest. I would rather get one or 2 big solid expansions, like Bloodmoon and Tribunal for Morrowind and if they add a large amount of new land and content maybe charge 30-40ish. But no, I would not pay weekly to play New Vegas regardless of how much weekly content. I would just download mods for free (many of which are better than DLC).

No. Shivering Isles for Oblivion was 10+ hours (if you really played it through in detail and didn't rush) and that cost $30. You have a bad sense of math.

I got the GOTY edition so it was only like 10 bucks more. But when I was playing Morrowind the expansions were massive, Bloodmoon was in some ways better than the base game, well worth the 30 bucks. And in any case I would not pay a weekly fee to play new vegas or any game for that matter.

I payed 40$ for the GTA IV DLC (20$ each) and that was literally the perfect DLC.

But seriously, I could buy a PS3 for $300, why would I spend all that on one DLC?

You'll need to describe this 'perfect DLC' to me before we can start talking price.

Maybe about $30. Isn't that how much the Shivering Isles cost? That was a pretty perfect DLC/expansion.

DLC costs should be proportional to the actual playtime of the game.

I payed $50 for a game that can give like 80+ hrs of quest content a playthrough; I don't want to pay a fifth of that price and receive less than a fifth of the content.

You get what you pay for right ? what I am talking about is a DLC that's new every month like a tv series has new episodes and because we the consumer are here we can get a more custom Game fit to the way we want it . Imagine at the end of a games season you get a ride ( car or horse ) and in 3-6 months a new series comes out picking up on your old story line . AN example would be AMC series the walking dead lets say every month you get a new DlC just like the series gets a new episode every week . It's perfect because it doesn't end and you continually get new stuff and new challenges instead of a 4 hr game you buy a 400 hr , series discounted for advanced payment . If 200,000 people buy a DLC at 10 $ and get 4 hrs=2.50 an hr how many people need to buy 400hrs at say 400 dollars =1$ an hr you get more .

This would require so much memory space it would be ludicrous, not to mention that I woudn't want to pay the prices you're talking about.

memory could be handeled with a jump drive easily Price is exactly what I am getting at for what I described what would you pay ? say 12 DLC packs one a month all year ? 10 x 12 = 120 ? but what if it would take 200 or would you be a player at 75 ? The player to price ratio would be critical to little players = dead idea, to many players at to low a price makes it undoable so what's the balance ?

You can store game save data on a flash drive so it stands to reason you could store Dlc there to if the makers allow

You can only plug in so many flash drives at the same time. And why would I pay for even more flash drives? I have other video games to use up memory, too. And I wouldn't even be able to spare the money for a DLC like that.

I have no idea what those units in the poll are...? Are the USD's? AUD's? Assuming it's in American dollars. What kind of brainless idiot would EVER pay $100 for some DLC, perfect or not? Even paying $100 to get Elder Scrolls V right now is pushing it for me. I would never pay more (or expect to pay much less) than $10 for a game DLC pack that adds less than 10 hours of gameplay.

I MIGHT, I say I MIGHT pay $100 for the DLC if it adds 500-600 hours of gameplay, increases the map size by 20-25 times its original size, and has insnaely improved graphics and realism. But your talking Fallout 5 or Fallout 6 prices.

I imagine the poll owner unfortunately posted the prices in Microsoft Points instead of a more recognizable currency (I've no idea how many MS points equals a dollar).

DLC?
If it's the size of PL or DM then still only 80 kronors.
If it's the size of SI then still only 240 to 320 kronors.
Not gonna pay more for it no matter how perfect it is.
