How much do you play Skyrim nowadays?

Post » Fri Nov 22, 2013 12:12 am

Dawnguard gives the ability to have new shouts, and also the ability to make Dragonbone weapons. Hearthfire give the ability to get salmon roe from jumping salmon for alchemy purposes, plus you get to build your own which raises your smithing. There is a bug that Dawnguard has with Breezehome, that Hearthfire fixes. Plus Dragonborn gives a lot of new armor, and shouts and more weapon crafting.

Bet I can push the 'somewhat envy' into total envy...I'm retired and occasionally go on binges where I play all day for days on end that have no bad consequences beyond having to catch up a little bit on housekeeping.

Yep! I gotta keep my time down or I'll lose it at the end of the year. Sometimes I go fishing, sometimes I mash buttons all day.

I may not be retired, but I am disablied, and being home all day does have its advantages. I play everyday and during the evenings also except I do not play on Tuesday nights cause of NCIS and NCIS LA. I only make sure that the morning chores are done before playing. lol Also, I still enjoy Skyrim as much now as when I first started playing the day it came out. I will never tire of the secenery.

 Tuesdays are my big gaming nights because there isn't serious football on and Mrs. Jabber is out of the way by 8:00PM because of those shows.

I love them, the shows, and so I play before they come on. There is only me and hubbie and so I get the run of the tv cause he does not "play" but enjoys watching me get into it with a dragon, especially when one chews me up and spits me out. lol Except for the morning news from 5am to 8:30 am, we do not watch tv.

Girlfriend gets the evenings, though often that is her watching TV I don't watch or surfing on her tablet while I play games. I DVR NCIS and NCIS:LA and a couple others she doesn't like and watch them during my daytime breaks from gaming. Being on the west coast football is over before we really get into the evening except MNF double header nights.

I have over 5000 Hours playeed, but I have not really played Skyrim very much lately due to Burnout. I will test a Mod or two and spend a few hours, but I have not sat and played seriously since October due to :fallout: I have been spending My free time running around the Mojave.

Just made a new character and I am surprisingly enjoying it, as I've only been able to play as my Imperial main character. Hopefully it will keep my attention long enough to make this new character long term.

I currently am playing a character that completely ignores crafting outside of jewelry. This is to be able to at least upgrade items. I don't enchanting or use alchemy, and it is making the game much more enjoyable to me. This is giving the game a new feel and keeps me into it.

That and the 15 mods I have for it.

Depends. Right now I'm in a Skyrim phase, so I play several hours a day, but I alternate between Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

2-4 hours or so.

Whenever I feel like it.

My computer screen which is about normal size.

Yes.

I like to have something to drink, either alcohol or coffee.

On a piano stool, because that's what I have

1) How many hours a week do you play? About 10 hours a month. If I'm not playing something else I'll run a character for a little while just for fun.

2) How long is your average session? Used to be 5 - 8 hours. Now when I play maybe 2.

3) Whens your favourite time to play, morning, afternoon, night or anytime will do? Between 7-PM and 10-PM. Anytime Saturday.

4) What format do you use, do you play on a monitor, giant tv or other? PC - Monitor.

5) Do you wear headphones? I prefer not to, but the wife likes to listen to the TV loud.

6) What's your ideal Skyrim session, ie late at night with a pizza and a couple of beers, soft drinks and nacho's etc? I never eat or drink while playing. Must focus.

7) Where do you play, on a chair, beanbag, bed, floor, standing on your head etc? Sitting at PC desk. Desktop PC.

A little burnout is expected after 208 full days played on a game that's 2 years old. ;)

For those who appreciate a little math...that's averaging over seven hours a day, each and every day, for two years.

It's hard to put a number on how much I play nowadays, since I play less and less now. I just started playing an old character again, but I'm not sure how long my interest will last. Also, I'm more interested in playing Oblivion, Daggerfall and THIEF 2 and since I have much less time to play due to finals, those would be the games I'd pick to play most of the time. If I had to guess I'd say about 5 hours a week. With about an hour on average on the days I do play. Around 2 hours on the weekends.

When I do play, I find that it's easier to get into the game either early morning or late at night. Easier to get into character and all that. And it also gives me an excuse to cozy into bed, where I do most of my gaming. I usually draqe a blanket over my legs or completely wrap myself up during the cold seasons. Pure bliss. Though the second one isn't an option when the game is on my laptop. I can, however, do that when I play Skyrim since the playable version is on my 360. Thank Gaia for wireless controllers.

Snacks are always a plus, but, well, I'm in bed, so that would be messy.

How many hours a week do you play? - Can't say precisely. Sometimes I play up to 5 hours every day for several days, or take a month (or two) break from the game.

How long is your average session? - Usually 1-2 hours

Whens your favourite time to play, morning, afternoon, night or anytime will do? - Anytime, unless the sunlight is so strong that I can't see in dungeons

What format do you use, do you play on a monitor, giant tv or other? - 21,5" PC monitor

Do you wear headphones? - Almost always, for any game

What's your ideal Skyrim session, ie late at night with a pizza and a couple of beers, soft drinks and nacho's etc? - Just the game, sometimes a glass full of tea.

Where do you play, on a chair, beanbag, bed, floor, standing on your head etc? - Office chair, I can rest my back and elbows
