Collectors Edition: $80
First expansion: $20
Second expansion: $20
Accessories (if any) $5-15
Fun out of it all?: Priceless

Yeah, I had to :)

@Phoss: Then you won't be getting it for awhile. I doubt the GOTY edition is going to come out in the same year, and then it will take time for its price to drop.

I never buy collector's editions. Waste of money.

Your lucky! I always have to get collector's editions of stuff, just to crowd up my room with lol. I had the Collector's edition of OB, but lost the coin :(
scratch that, not always, just on my fav games.

Probably not as much as I spent on Guild Wars. ( Prophecies GOTY, Factons CE, Nightfall CE and EOTN) came to about $300.

Oblivion was my most expensive ES game coming to about $200 (CE, KOTN, SI)
Morrowind was about $140

But as trends go, depending on the retail pricing, and content available throughout the series, about $60 - $180)

Now if we have non-game related costs, ~$400 in computer upgrades.

Yep, I'm not buying until it's all patched up and the mod community is done fixing it.

I'll spend whatever I have to spend to get the game into my collection, the day it comes out. Typically this would be a little over $60 where I live. If Skyrim is already a pre-order game at my local GAmeStop, I will pre-pay this very week.

Collector's version PC on day 1: $70
Regular version PS3 a couple weeks later: $50
All DLC: $30
GOTY version X360: $40
-------------
only $190 for an estimated 1.500 hours of entertainment + pre-release hype. :celebration:

Whatever the best edition of the game costs on 360 (my PC isn't up to scratch) and all DLCs. I'm praying to Akatosh that there will be a Thu'um to English dictionary available with the Collectors Edition. I'd pay for that.

Uh-huh. Didn't know opinions were discouraged on the boards... :spotted owl:

Then again, people always call out people's opinions if they aren't anywhere close to theirs.

Gotta love simple human nature.

And I could say that Skyrim is a First-person shooter game. Doesn't make me right :P

I've found collector's editions to be a waste of money in the past. I'll buy the standard version, possibly a year or so after release so it's had time to be patched, and I can get it on the cheap.

I've been arranging my game playing so that I'm buying games well after release, and they're new to me. Planning to pick up Dawn of War II pretty soon, now that I've finished Saboteur.

Anyway, if I spent too much, I wouldn't have enough money left for board games.

So how much do you think you will spend?

If Oblivion and Fallout 3 are any indication, around 30 bucks once the GotY edition comes out and goes on sale. Saves me from the release-day bug blues and from being nickel and dimed to death piecing together the game DLC by DLC.

For certain games, price is nothing. I will pay whatever for the highest edition and I'll buy all of the DLC.

0$ ! I bought two copies of Oblivion, so that means I'll pirate this one

...nahh, not really. I'll probably end up buying the collectors version. Gotta love them TES games.

I will get the collectors edition only if it comes with exclusive DLC that is not some kind of lame armor or weapon. Like a special quest or dungeon. Other than that, I will buy every single piece of DLC and expansions they come out with.

Depends on Bethesda, If Steam isn't a requirement of the PC disc version, I'll buy the collector's then the GOTY(roughly $120), if Steam is a requirement then I won't get it so $0 as I can't do Steam or console versions personally.

Have they mentioned if the Collector's Edition will feature any extra in-game content, etc? Unless they include additional quests or something, I just can't reason out why you'd get it. Unless there's a soundtrack or something. That could have some value I suppose.

probably not ingame extras (excluding any preorder bonuses) collector's typically has a book, a making of DVD & maybe something from the game as an actual item.

Probably not worth it then. I'd have a hard time justifying it unless it had some in-game extras and a soundtrack. Not really into a book, and likely it'll be "The Art of", which invariably gets looked at once and thrown away.

I can't claim to be immune anyway, I used to buy collector's editions. I think I've just become a miser.
