How much do you think you'll spend on Skyrim?

Post » Wed Jan 12, 2011 7:28 pm

I spent much more on Morrowind than I did Oblivion.
I reckon I'll spend about 150 on Skyrim.

This, money doens't play a role when it comes to The Elder Scrolls.

Most likely 60 but if they release a GOTY edition and have DLC before then, the total will probably be higher like 100 to 140.

I have no idea, it all depends on the game. If it has the repetitive feel of Oblivion, then I doubt I will even finish the game. In that case, there is no way I will buy any DLC.

Oh, I seemed to have misread the topic title. I thought it said "How much time do you think you'll spend on PLAYING Skyrim". Well I spent about 4 years playing Morrowind, and about 2.5 on Oblivion so far. I'll buy the stuff for Skyrim, just as I did with Oblivion. :)

As much as a pre-order and the major expansions cost, no more, no less. Won't bother with any little "DLC" style content.

Honestly, the more hear about Skyrim, the longer Beth goes on with no word one way or another on DLC for other than XBox, the less enthused I am.

As for the wallet scale, I'm not quite to "I'll wait till it's in the bargain bin" but it's close.

A good few hundred pounds as I want CE for my Xbox 360, standard one for my PC and oh I`ll probably get a new video card like the Nvidia 570 or 580, so my PC version can run in high settings :)

I'll most likely buy the standard edition on Steam so I'll spend 50 Euro. I'll probably buy some DLC later so I guess the total cost will be 60-80 Euro.

I'm going to be buying a collector's edition of the original game, which I assume with be $80, plus any DLC I can, assuming it comes out on PS3 at the same time as the 360 releases. Then, I will buy the GOTY edition for about $60 simply because I want the game and its DLC in one package.

I will wait until I get the game for a reasonable price and when Bethesda fixed all major bugs.

I'll leave you to your opinion, but you don't believe $60 is reasonable price for an Elder Scrolls game... which is basically a guaranteed 100+ hours of entertainment?

All I can say is I spent $150ish on Oblivion when it was all said and done but that money got me well over 400 hours of entertainment, if not more. I've played through Oblivion three times in full with three separate characters and I've gone back to old characters to do some random exploring on occasion. When compared to how much entertainment I get out of a movie, for example, I think it's safe to say that I got more than my money's worth out of Oblivion.

From what I can see of Skryim so far, I don't think it will be any different.

EDIT: Ironically enough, my first character was a Nord and he was always my favorite. I'll be doing the same in Skyrim. :)
