How much of your life will you waste playing Skyrim?

Post » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:08 pm

Assuming you play 3 hours a day, it would take you 4.5 years to break 5000 hours (if my math is right). I think I just about hit 4000 on Morrowind. :P

I know the hour categories seem a bit varied, but it's intentional, I tried to break it up into common gaming groups. 0-100 is the action gamer/casual gamer who's trying out TES. 101-300 is the casual gamer TES fan. 301-1000 is a TES fan who enjoys this type of game. 1000-5000 is the hard-core RPGer/TES fanatic. 5001+ hours, is just in case. :P

15 hours a day, 2 days a week. You do the math, I'm too lazy.

301-1000h of well placed time. (Oblivion 750h and should be close to 1000 when Skyrim comes out.)

I will not waste a sec...

The question should be: "How much of your life will you waste NOT playing Skyrim" :)

It's just below the broken poll option.

I can't really say how many hours I will put in to Skyrim, I would easily say I have over 2000 hours clocked on Morrowind and around 300-500 on Oblivion but it all comes down to how much I like the changes in Skyrim and if the game has enough content to keep me entertained.

More than 1000 hours, and more than half of it spent in Construction Kit. ;)

as much as I want and no time is wasted time mate ;)

even if you just sit in ur chair doing nothing millions of organisms are still living and dieing on, in, and near you, your mere presence is a cog in the great machine of the universe.

0-100 hrs is about usual for an action game for me
100-300 hrs is about usual for strategy games
300-500 hrs is about usual for Elder Scrolls games
5000-10000 hrs is about normal for online FPS games

So around the 400 hr mark would be nice for Skyrim. Obviously mods contribute greatly to replayability though, so we'll see.

I voted 5001+ but I don't see it as time or life wasted. Just fun. :celebration:

Egg Zak Lee.

As for amount of time playing. OB was the most I ever played a game, with about 320 hours over 10-12 weeks. Also I spent quite a bit of time reading about and searching for mods. At least a dozen hours, probably a lot more.

As for SR my goal/hope is at least 200 hours over 2 months.

300-500 as I did with Oblivion with multiple characters. Considering I'll spend these gaming hours in 4 or 5 years, I don't think it's that much, it's reasonable for a game of this scope.

When I played Oblivion it was a good 12 to 15 hours a day for two weeks that I completely forgot about the outside world. I have played the game 5 times now every file being a good 400 hours plus. Same with Fallout 3, Morrowind I have only played once that took about 200 plus hours. :user:
