How often do you read User Agreements, Privacy Policies etc?

I used to ignore all of the EULA, Privacy Policies and Terms of Agreement rabble till several years ago, when this talk conducted in school informed us that some sneaky companies explicitly put terms that took a chunk out of you. Since then i've...attempted to read through (or at least skim through) the horrible lengthy user agreements and such, but all the formal-legal-business-holierthanthou jargon is annoying.

So how often do you actually go through these things? And have you gotten into trouble because of them before? E.g some company decides to start broadcasting your personal information to the world because they said they would on the user agreement or something like that.

edit: Also whats with the font in the forums suddenly, the font im posting in seems different than the final result.

Usually they're pretty much the same for websites, and I stopped reading them when I realized it.

When it comes to more important things that creating an account on a website, or downloading Lyx/LaTeX, etc etc, then I usually read the head-lines of the agreement, see if there's anything fishy about it.

So to sum it up, I rarely read them anymore. I haven't gotten into trouble because of them, which is only making me more lazy about them...

Not very often. I figure most of them are going to attempt to offer me less than the statutory legal minimum they can get away with, so the statutory legal minimum is what I'll get. Which is a bit of a poor show, all things considered.

I guess I just find life's too short to read through eleventy billion pages of impenetrable legalese by the usual culprits who often hit you with several agreements at once and update them regularly just to find whatever unpleasant and legally dubious allowance they've attempted to grant themselves this time.
