How often do you...

Find a perch and decide you are going to just hang out there and listen to the radio for a while.

While you case the joint...

Maybe I'll try, but so far never. I admire the view in a lot of places but I don't roleplay it out where I'm traveling, find a campsite, scavenge what I can and stay there until next light. Once that joint is clear I roll on.

I'm the kinda of person that want an immensely deep work and story. I want to paly through and have it go on and on and be so involved. I cannot however, use my imagination in that way, pretending to be doing all that. That make sense?

Whenever I get loaded down with loot (which is frequently, I'll haul it back to one of my settlements (usually Sanctuary Hills) and sort through it all. While I'm doing that, I usually have the radio playing in the background. Pretty much always listen to Diamond City Radio. Tried Radio Freedom, but that got repetitious real quick. Kind of wish I had a decent settlement in the Silver Shroud service area, just to hear the complete run of the SS episodes.

I always take a moment to admire the view while standing on a cliff top, I'd let the game go into 3rd person panoramic turntable mode. I did the same thing in fallout 3, dusk was awesome to spectate. Shame though, Fallout 4 has no shooting stars in the night sky, what a small detail to miss out. And then I get back to collecting the heads of raiders/gunners/ghouls etc etc.

I do this for smoke breaks. The cooling tower at the Corvega plant and the top of the movie screen at Starlight Drive-In are two of my favourite spots.

When logging out for the day, if I'm not near a bed, I'll pose my character with a view or nice backdrop.

I added two levels to Croup Manor. It has what looks like a boardwalk that extends over the ocean along the entire top of the manor.

I set a bench there facing the East and sometimes sit there with Piper watching the sunrise with Diamond City radio playing.

It's really nice when End Of The World comes on.

I used to do this a lot more in NV. There was a lot better music and better scenery in the open desert.

Radio? Depends on my mood. But perch and scope? Yup! Sometimes it pays off to hang out and see who's around and what they do and where the cover, covered runs and hiding spots are before engaging in trade...in lead :D

Sometimes, it's not about the lead trade at all. At times, it's just a break so I can sit back and watch it all happen for a bit while I break out the espresso and savour the nectar of the gods.
