How to pass the time?

Post » Mon Oct 25, 2010 8:07 pm

So, I recently sold my PC and am now dependent upon my Mac. I'm getting Windows 7 in about 2 months, but until then I'm forced to do without my Oblivion fix. I need a way to pass the time and imitate the game I've become addicted to. Help! :banghead:

Go outside and swing a sword around. :P Run around asking people about rumors and the town. If you see a policeman, ask him about directions.

Try to duplicate things! :)

Uhm... dungeon-dive?

Go kill people in the name of Sithis. Do good deeds to become the Crusader! :)

EDIT: If you know some short blonde kid, have him follow you around screaming "By Azura!"

Btw, get a nice sword and level efficiently.
Don't put Alchemy as a major.

And make sure to sneak attack people. :) You should be fine.

Haha, make sure you use the coins and not the bills. :P

On a serious note, maybe try out a new game while you wait? When taking a break from Oblivion, I enjoyed Dragon Age immensely (if you're ready to spend the money). Or you could always give Morrowind a shot.

Good luck, anyhow. It's not easy being without Oblivion. :)

Go to a swamp and try to hit a mudcrab with an iron dagger, you'll see how difficult it really is.

Dye your hair blond, open an Arena, and who ever kills a lot of people, just stalk him shouting BY AZURA.
It would keep you busy :D

You forgot to tell him that he also has to shrink himself and spike the hair up. :P

Plan out a character build. Got to the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page, open a bunch of tabs on race, birthsigns, magicka types, weapon types, etc. Try to plan for something specific and kinda techy.

I did this with my Fallout 3 character, I level-by-level planned her out, deciding where stat points would be placed, what perks to take at what level, etc.

Character building takes a good long time, especially for Oblivion as it requires a TON of research if you wanna get down to the nitty-gritty of the game.

If it helps, plan multiple characters just for fun.

If all else fails:
