How to play Arena on Windows 7 64 bit.

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:03 pm

I finally decided to play TES series from the begining again. I lost my disks for Arena but happy to found my hint book for it. I downloaded Arena from the Bethesda web site, and installed it. I also installed DOS Box. I am stuck now, and don't know what to do. I will go back and try to read all through the fourms here, but there is so much, and so far I see Daggerfall and nothing for Arena yet. Can anyone help me, in going through step by step instructions on how to get this great game to run?

Would it be better to be playing this game on an older computer with XP or would Windows 7 64 bit be ok?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Ok, after not seeing how to set up Arean, I installed Daggerfall and got it to run. Now I applied this to Arean, and go to the install screen. So I enter setup but it say can only be installed from floppy. Ok so what do I do know? I downloaded this from Bethesda's web site, so now I am stuck. What can I do?

Ok, I got it now. I didn't have to set it up after all. Very frustrating at first, but I finally got it, after reading 5 threads about Daggerfall.

Now I have no problem playing it in windowed mode, but when I go to full screen mode, I get all mixed up colours and it's hard to see. Is there anything I can do about this?

Change the "output" parameter in the DOSBox config.

Thank you so much Freddo, it worked, and the stuttering has gone too when in full mode. Thank you so much.
